Context window is mislabled. It’s a bucket not a window. Keep your water clean and don’t overfill it.

Context management even though talked about all the time, is still the hardest thing to get right. Let me scream it again. Database with semantic search gives llm a way to selectively get context they need. Oh and never go over 250k in context window. It’s not window either it’s a bucket.

What I’m realizing is 99.9999999999999999999999999% of AI posts are from people that are trying to get more followers and clicks and has no real world experience on actually deploying. “Improve your workflow 80% by this one Claude skill” “Omg they just released this and it changes the industry completely” It’s all bogus. Create your own workflow that is tailored to you. Don’t buy into this garbage.

@justine_chang39 I have found most people that don’t do this all the time have no concept or want to understand the concept of context management. Don’t dirty the well.

I'm going to artificially limit the context window of the platform that I'm selling to my customers because they don't know what's good for them.

Do you think there is a model that you work with better? Not the newest or the hype but one you just go back to because it works for you? Is this a thing?

@trq212 Actually made a decision last night on a idea. Run test twice couldn’t get the baseline I needed so decided to shelve it. Time and compute is what holds me back.
