Results of my first ever Whatnot show. I sold out when I thought I’d be running at least two shows to sell it all off. This time was comics, what should I get for the next time?

@donnyyoung Yeah, though I didn’t think it was going to be as great as it was. I’m sure the folks buying them will be reselling for more but I still won! It’s fuel for the next @Whatnot show.

What should I use these giant pallets for? A Whatnot Studio? Sell pallet wood bundles? Build some furniture or home decor and sell it? Drop your ideas in the comments!

@kip_roland Yes it does! And the first time you’ll probably fumble through, make mistakes, and learn a few things. But in the end - hitting go live or start show is a must if you’re gonna sell live.

@jearl02s My wife thought I was a bit nuts for doing it but she let me try and is now on board with me doing more. That’s the biggest win!

@SellFlipDad That’s a fun idea - the legality of it though seems difficult to pull off.

What turns a side hustle into a real business? Systems… and firing yourself from the low paying jobs. Couch flipper — cleaning couches Book seller — listing & shipping Reselling store — cashier Fixing rock chips — doing the repair Pressure washing — holding the wand Lawn care — mowing lawns eBay seller — taking photos & packing boxes That’s where most people get stuck. The move I’m making now Replace myself in $15 tasks so I can focus on $1,000 decisions. That’s how you scale, that’s how you buy a yacht. What job are you still doing that you should’ve fired yourself from?

When I started reselling, I had zero community. Once I found other resellers, my business grew overnight. I went from selling here and there to making $10,000 a month in only a couple months time, and I am still only putting in "part-time" hours. I share everything here because finding the right people to inspire and motivate you will change your life.

Scored my dream grill in Facebook Marketplace for a steal. Drove to Lucas,TX to pick it up. Handmade by a high school FFA student. SELLER paid a premium for it at an auction and it sat in her yard for a year. Part of me wants to flip it😬

Just fixed my first rock chip in 25 years. $50 plus I’m now his guy for his entire fleet of 30 + vehicles and dump trucks…and what the heck I said I fix or replace any windshield or broken window or IG in his rentals properties. This will be a 30-50k account every year. Do I name my new glass company Bargain Glass?

kip | Live-Selling on Whatnot & TikTok
If you're a new follower to me.. Hi! I'm Kip. 6 years ago I started flipping stuff on eBay. Was in a solid "cook" group and sold $150k on eBay my Junior year in college. I began selling on Amazon my senior year, and my business really took off. Last February, I got suspended on Amazon and pivoted to live-selling on Whatnot. Fast forward to today: I run a Whatnot and TikTok live-selling operation that's moved 30,000+ items in the last year. I built the Live Selling Academy... a community for sellers who want to learn and grow together. Here's what I post about: → Live-selling strategy (what works and doesn't work for me) → Transparency posts... the wins AND the $1,300 losing shows → Building a business while being a husband and a new dad → The future of live commerce (it's changing each month) I try not to post hype or false expectations. I post the real version of what it looks like to build something from scratch... Glad you're here!

@donnyyoung I don’t know the origin exactly. A family friend was asked how the food was and he replied “it’s dog food” - then promptly went back for more. I like your logic though!

@RionResells Haha! That’s a good one! I’ve got to ask, do you know the origin of this? Is this supposed to be like how a dog scarfs down their food fast?

down here in the south, if anyone ever tells you "bless your heart”, it’s not a compliment. it’s our polite way of saying, “you’re a bit of an idiot and you should probably stop talking before you embarrass yourself more.” Grandma’s are the worst offender of this phrase… but maybe it's because they don’t suffer fools too much. mine didn't.😂 is there a particular saying or phrase that is unique to your region?

@EverydayResell I realize I worded that a little deceptively. I stay down there for another 8 - 12 hours and make a decent income. But I get paid $60 for the hour drive.

@RionResells Man, that’s real hustle! driving an hour each way for $60 four days a week is no joke. Respect for showing up like that every time. The $100+ flips are out there too, but days like yours are what build the foundation. Keep grinding, you’re already farther along than most 💪

WOULD YOU DRIVE AN HOUR ONE WAY FOR $500??? As I drive an hour 20 minutes one way this morning this has been on my mind for a couple weeks now. Lately I’ve had a handful of people reach out asking how I got started in reselling and what auctions I hit. I love that energy and I’m always happy to share locations and tips!  But I keep hearing some version of: “That’s an hour away though…”  I’ll be real with you, I don’t quite understand that one yet.   If I told you there was $500 cash sitting under a random dumpster an hour from your house and all you had to do was drive over and grab it… would you go?  Because that’s basically what a lot of these auctions are for people just starting out. A little gas, a little time, and a shot at real money that most people won’t even leave the couch for.  I’m not saying every deal has to be an hour away (plenty of good stuff pops up closer too), but the ones worth chasing rarely fall in your lap. The difference between the people who stay stuck and the ones who start making consistent money usually comes down to one simple thing, being willing to drive for it.  So quick question for those of you already in the game—what’s the farthest you’ve driven for a flip that ended up being worth it? Drop your stories below, I’d genuinely love to hear them!  Let’s keep encouraging each other out here. The opportunities are everywhere… sometimes you just gotta meet them halfway.
