@BowtiedNostrich @holydisrupter Certainly that is the tragic pattern across those countries that have gone down that path. Although Alberta just this week started to roll some of it back.

A week after the election I organised a discreet meeting of around fifty Christian thought leaders nervous of what an ideological driven government might enact and how Christians might prepare. We never imagined the decriminalisation of abortion up to birth. Never.

@zatzi Indeed - and what will this law ‘teach’ society when it comes to how we view the disabled, the weak, the vulnerable… Still, I take some hope from the massive critical response I see from people coming from very different backgrounds to this.

Westminster is scrutinising it.
This week Alberta moved to roll it back significantly.
The closer lawmakers look at assisted suicide, the harder it is to support. That pattern is unmistakable.

@sharrond62 I didn’t sleep either. To allow this to become law shows how little regard some of our parliamentarians have for life.
A shameful day for this country. I will spend the rest of my political career pushing for reinstatement of in-person consultations.

@Sullkowski The bill will continued through the Lords, then goes back to the Commons for 'ping pong', then Royal Assent.
