Alexandre Ramagem, former head of Brazil’s intelligence agency under Jair Bolsonaro, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Florida on April 13 after fleeing Brazil last year, according to Reuters.
Ramagem had been convicted and sentenced to over 16 years for his role in a plot to overturn Brazil’s 2022 election won by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
