How would she be able to present said speech when the Speaker refuses to acknowledge her? Do you also know that the Speaker refused to allow a response to the Speaker's statement and Ms. Brown-Burke used the time alotted for her sectoral debate in order to be able to speak on it?

1/3- Had Angela Brown Burke delivered that speech before she tiptoed and attempted to remove the mace from the House, I would have been more moved by the presentation. Wrong is wrong. Now Mrs. Brown Burke returns trying to shift the narrative toward the opposition being muzzled.

In our Jamaican Parliament it is no different, and what I am observing is that Angela Brown Burke and Nickesha Burchell are being used as attack dogs against @JulietHolness. They appear so power driven and politically consumed that they are shamelessly doing the bidding of cowardly men. But let it be known, MP Holness is well respected in this country. She is an inspiration and a role model to many, and we will not sit back and allow the continued tarnishing of Madame Speaker. Since her nomination as Speaker of the House, there has been constant personal attacks, objections, provocation, and derogatory behaviour directed at her. Women should not be jealous, nasty, or vengeful toward other women simply because of political differences, especially at the behest of men. We fight for gender equality, only to turn around and join forces with men to tear down women we do not like or agree with. Whether you support her politically or not, the disrespect and hostility have become impossible to ignore. Be warned, we are watching, and we will not stand for it.
