Very important to include accounting fees in the equation when you're doing a cost/benefit analysis for those considering an S Corp. Also very important to run a cost/benefit analysis in the first place! Make sure your accountant does one before you become an S Corp!

I am sorry, but if you can’t play in at least 80% of the games, you probably don’t deserve to win regular season awards. Only five NBA MVPs have gone to a player who played under 65 games. Malone won in a 50-game strike season. LeBron during a 66-game strike season. Giannis during 72-game COVID season. Cousy during a 72-game season. In NBA history, only Bill Walton would have been impacted by the 65-game rule.

@FrancineHibiscs Had a new first today. Old couple came in and said they’ve filled out their tax returns by hand for the last 10 years… the unfortunate part is that they treated the entirety of their SS income as taxable and paid almost 3k in taxes every year for the last 10 years…

so clients sent me their parents and I am here to tell you that not every CPA knows how to do taxes and I am not sure this return was even actually SIGNED there is no PTIN or anything.

Was on a call with a client last year walking them through their tax return. They had an NOL carrying forward and jokingly said they hope an investment from multiple years ago pays off so they can offset some of those losses. Like an idiot, I took the bait and asked about it. 500k invested in a hotel in Europe. Rest assured, they opened a foreign bank account to move the money there before investing it to ensure they missed multiple foreign reporting requirements. 😂

Client of the day - Him (around 80) - “Our return is pretty simple, but I guess I need to tell you about the foreign accounts?” Me - *look of sheer terror Him - *bursts out laughing, “Oh man I got you good!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
