While later versions like v14.3 have begun rolling out in North America, they have not yet been widely released to Australian owners.

This is my Tesla Model Y in the UK. It already has all the hardware and software needed to drive itself under my supervision - making it dramatically safer than any regular car on our roads. Yet @transportgovuk, @Heidi_Alexander and the Vehicle Certification Agency have still not approved it for use here. It’s like having seatbelts fitted in the car… but the government won’t let you use them. This technology is already working safely in other countries around the world. Why are UK drivers and other road users being held back from a safer future? V14.3.1 rolling out in North America now. After a couple more point releases to polish it, they will unlikely start to do RHD validation, and I would think Australia first. They don’t seem to have the lethargic bureaucracy that Europe has. Note that Elon said the numbering system in Europe is slightly different. Saying the Euro V14.2 release there, had a lot of the V14.3 North America stuff in it. It fact NL release had a couple of features we don’t have yet, but will get in the spring release.

Elon has answered this question before. Via Q4 2024 Earnings Call: "We are going to have to upgrade Hardware 3 for people who bought FSD. That’s the honest answer. It’s going to be painful and difficult but that’s what we’re going to have to do." Tesla hasn’t forgot about HW3 Tesla customers.

AI5 isn't going into cars 👀 the MLIR and runtime upgrades introduced in FSD 14.3 probably raised the ceiling for AI4. This probably also means v15 will run on the AI4 suite as well

@SawyerMerritt I expected this ask in previous call, but fine we got now. Its very clear not V14 lite - Unsupervised (Retrofit details on Tesla plans, hope they make it very transparant as nothing is impossible for Elon's Team like the best ADAS available now )

If you own a Tesla with HW4/AI4, Tesla never said you’ll ever receive Unsupervised Full Self-Driving on that vehicle. This includes cars being sold today. You’re welcome!

Got the update 2026.8.6.1 morning . I had the reverse camera a second blackout while reverse. ⁦@Tesla⁩ was so quick in giving the update with some regression experienced by few customers as well . All hints of V14 lite soon!!!

@teslascope Yes I too surprised when I too reverse , it was blank and error rear camera temporarily unavailable . It’s in UK .

We have received two unconfirmed reports from vehicle owners that the update 2026.8.6 was pulled due to delays with loading the rear camera and receiving the error “Camera Temporary Unavailable”. The scope of this bug is not known, but is not impacting all Tesla vehicles.

NEWS: Dutch regulators (RDW), which just approved @Tesla FSD (Supervised) in the Netherlands, have just issued an official statement: "Due to the continuous strict monitoring of the driver in the vehicle, the system is safer than other driver assistance systems. We have thoroughly researched and checked this system, more than a year and a half. The RDW has issued a type approval for Tesla's driver's assistance system, FSD Supervised. This driver's assistance system has been extensively researched and tested on our test track and on public roads for more than a half years. Safety is paramount for the RDW. The proper use of this driver's system makes a positive contribution to road safety." This approval from the RDW clears the path for approval in other European countries. Tesla owners in the Netherlands will be receiving FSD (Supervised) on their cars shortly. Amazing day!
