@SWApprentice0 Because you will make an amazing social worker! That’s why people say it. You’re not alone with assignment/admin. But even though it’s not easy, you’ve gotten yourself this far - almost 1/3 through! #YouGotThis and we’ll take it in turns to prop each other up though the wobbles!

When colleagues see me practice or I support them going through hardships, Im told I'll make an amazing social worker.. & part of me believes it! But the uni side of this app. & admin side of work is such a constant exhausting struggle w/ adhd (see gif), its hard to have faith

I did my first individual presentation for college today and although I was a bag of nerves, I did it! Very pleased and feeling super accomplished as I lost a family friend this week and was considering giving up after the year ive had! Feeling accomplished (and ready for bed!)

@hmarlowauthor Yeah my leg was shaking like mad but once i got into the swing of things i was fine! Didnt even look at my notes 😆 a lot to improve but yes its helpful to know it gets better so thank you! And thank you, i dont think I've processed the loss just yet but i have great support xx

@SWApprentice0 The following year I gave presentations in a bunch of schools and universities about fibromyalgia, to raise awareness. When you really care about something, it gets easier. Important to remember that something that's scary once may not feel the same next time. Sorry for your loss

After ages of trying for a specific residency, ringing daily and hoping, finally there is space and the gentleman gets to be somewhere he feels comfortable and among friends before it became a crisis and was moved somewhere he didnt wanna go😭 had to mute mic & fist pump the air

Heard someone in conversation say "hes not like, an alcoholic, but every night he goes out with or round a mates to get wasted" Check on your friends, it doesn't have to be drinking at home alone for it to be a dependancy. We've gotta start talking about binge drinking culture.

Attending some helpful training about disability benefits today. But something I find so so so frustrating about a lot of resources and services in social work is how often I hear ‘This doesn’t always work….but that’s just how it is’. (1/2) #SocialWorkStudent #SWApprenticeship

Frustration at the world around you is paramount in older person's social work it seems!!! Feel like pulling my hair out today with how little is available for people!!
