I have 4 fake teeth, 2 root canals, and more than 12 teeth with fillings! For 20 years, I dreaded every dentist visit. Then a machine I ordered from the US became a ₹1Cr business in 2 years. This is the most personal story I'll ever tell:

Charred Eggplant and Melted Cheese Basmati Medley 🍆🧀🍚 Sounds fancy, doesn’t it? Reality: • Plain rice leftover from the afternoon • Brinjal subji leftover from the afternoon • Cheese added generously for the taste buds A day before yesterday at 3:40 AM self ordered this from Domino’s. 🍕😬 Today, my evening self decided to fight back with leftovers. Funny thing is, oral health works exactly the same way. The battle is rarely between a toothbrush and cavities. It’s usually between: 🥹 Emotions 🍕 Cravings 😋 Taste buds 🦷 Oral health 🥗 Better habits And somewhere in between, mind plays the role of a magician, constantly juggling all these aspects of life. I believe those small decisions, accumulated over time, will ultimately transform the entire journey. Late night snacking, sugary foods and frequent eating throughout the day give oral bacteria more opportunities to produce acids that can damage teeth. So whether you’re eating pizza at 3:40 AM or “Charred Eggplant and Melted Cheese Basmati Medley” at home… Brush. Floss. Repeat. Today’s score: Leftovers: 1 ✅ Domino’s: 0 ❌

I have some serious chemical locha in my head. Most of the time my head and mind keep fighting. Latest example: yesterday my brain convinced me I’ll jump to GLP ( not mind). As journey of 110-> 95 was smooth and there is plateau since last few months Today while running, two songs are still lingering in my head: nanga hi तो aaya tha क्या ghanta leke jayga aapna time aayega…… दिल yai jiddi hai……. Putting it here as I get more social pressure for a few things than anything else. This might be my last social experiment or open digital pressure before I switch to peptide. As I said, I’m a foodie and sweet tooth lover, so following a food pattern is a pain for the mind and not for the brain. Dream of getting 6 packs out of my current laadi of pav. Why do this? As I always focus on oral health awareness and Fu***** ass***, why should I follow only a daily oral care routine and ignore overall health? The way I started here, finally everything mind + brain + oral health + overall health is surely interlinked with each other.

@rcrevolutionist No. Marathi around 70-90% accuracy. Hindi around 60-70% accuracy. English around 60-70% accuracy. With AI, all the above can have 90-100% accuracy. With the help of AI, i can write or read Kannada. 🥹 @grok can you convert the above into Kannada?

Will go off topic today. 🥹🙏🏼 I would love to promote a place very close to my heart: my hometown, Mangalwedha. मंगळवेढा ही फक्त एक तालुका किंवा शहर नाही, तर संतांची भूमी आहे. Known as the “Land of Saints”, Mangalwedha in Maharashtra’s Solapur district has a rich history dating back to the 12th century. It has witnessed the rule of multiple dynasties and empires, yet continues to preserve its spiritual and cultural heritage. This sacred land is associated with: - Sant Chokhamela - Sant Kanhopatra - Damajipant, one of Lord Vitthal’s most devoted followers It is also home to several heritage landmarks, including: - Mangalwedha Fort - Ancient temples, including a rare temple dedicated to Lord Brahma And for food and agriculture lovers: Mangalwedha is proudly known as “Jwariche Kothar” (Treasury of Jowar). Its famous Maldandi Jowar and Bajra varieties carry recognized GI tags. One of the town’s most remarkable modern landmarks is the Riddhi Siddhi Ganesh Mandir. The temple was built through the devotion and determination of Shri Ashok Koli and his family after a right-trunk Ganesh idol was discovered during excavation while constructing their home. Despite many challenges, the temple was completed with the blessings of his parents and the architectural expertise of Mohanlal Sompura from Rajasthan, who spent nearly 40 years in Mangalwedha working on it. Sometimes, India’s most inspiring stories are not found in big cities, but in small towns that quietly preserve our history, faith and culture. ❤️ Proud to be from Mangalwedha.❤️

I was 10 years old when I first went to a dentist. My tooth pain got unbearable overnight. Next morning, the dentist said: “This will keep coming back.” He was right. I lived with dental problems for 20 years. Until I ordered a water-flosser from USA. It changed my life in just 15 days. Today, we’re launching OC300. A water flosser for kids. - India's first water flosser for kids-Parents. Parents supervise first. Kids learn safely. Then become independent. When I was 10, water-flossers didn’t exist. Most kids in India still grow up without learning basic oral care. They shouldn’t be worried about their teeth. They should be building, learning and changing the world. Not fixing preventable pain later. That's what we are building at Oracura.
Sagar Awatade@SagarAwatade

Water flosser sales have grown so fast that we're running out of stock. Our best-selling models, OC150 and OC200, are currently facing shortages. Because demand is higher than we expected. In the last few months, more people have started using water flossers than ever before. At the same time, we're increasing localization. More parts are now being developed and manufactured with Indian partners. That means new molds, more testing, and more R&D. The result: a few temporary stock-outs. The good news: - OC180 is coming back. - OC300 is launching this week. And we expect the supply chain to stabilize over the next quarter. This year could be our biggest year yet. For sales. For profitability. And for water flosser adoption in India. I’m excited.

Our core focus remains India. Internationally, we operate through partners who manage shipping and operations, where margins are minimal. Building a global brand is extremely expensive and most profits are captured by or after established premium international brands. We learned this the hard way, so for now we’ll maintain a low-key international presence and focus on sustainable growth.

Starting a D2C Brand in India 🇮🇳 vs Dubai 🇦🇪 India: • 140M+ online shoppers • 20-35% RTO • Brutal CAC competition • Massive scale, thin margins Dubai: • Smaller market • Mostly prepaid orders • Lower taxes • Higher margins, faster profits India is a volume game. Dubai is a margin game. Build in India if you want to serve millions. Build in Dubai if you want to maximize profits per customer.

Our ancestors cleaned their teeth with a Neem stick. Then threw it in the garden. It became soil. We clean our teeth with plastic. We throw it away after 3 months. And it lives for 500 years. That's why we're experimenting with Neem, Miswak and Babul. The goal is to create a toothbrush that is ecological, affordable & sustainable. Should we bring back ancient oral care traditions and reinvent them for today?

Liver Doc is a sensible and practical person, so I’m sure, he needs data clarity before any conclusion drawn. That’s exactly why we will work across possible all three levels: - Clinical trials - Consumer trials - Lab trials Healthcare cannot run on assumptions. In fact, we don’t hesitate to discard a launch altogether if it doesn’t demonstrate any health benefits. Data comes before commercial opportunity. 🙏🏼 Oral health certainly can’t be taken for a ride, because it remains one of the most important pillars of overall health. 🦷❤️ The goal is simple: Less noise. More data. Better decisions. We are also revamping our natural toothpaste portfolio with FSSAI registration and significant improvements. 🦷 While trials were successful, we observed certain challenges under accelerated and environmental conditions post-launch. So we’re going back to improve it further in the next batch. Healthcare always deserved the best. 🙏🏼

My family is in politics. I'm in oral care. They still don’t exactly know what I do. People find that strange. I find it simple. I suffered with dental problems for 20 years. The kind that cost you money, time, and confidence for years. I didn't want to fix elections. I wanted to fix the thing that quietly ruins people's lives before they even notice. Oral health in India is broken. Oracura is here to change that.

Sir, we Indians are born fighters and rarely lose hope. We learn from people like you. In fact, today we have filed a High Court writ on issues affecting industry at large. Sometimes it feels like Indian entrepreneurs spend more energy fighting basic challenges than focusing on the core aspects of their businesses.🥹 Yet, we keep building.

My dad tried an electric toothbrush. 10 days later, he went back to a manual one. Lesson: Changing habits is harder than building technology. So today, we're launching a new @ORACURA manual toothbrush: • 3 replacement heads • Ultra-soft bristles (<0.17 mm) • Gentle on gums Venue: Booths E07 & D06, Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon East, Mumbai. I'll be there today and Sunday from 2-6 PM. If you want to meet me, come say Hi 👋

Interesting irony. 😄 People worry about reducing forest cover, while a responsibly built datun ecosystem could actually encourage more tree plantation, provide farmers extra income, and utilize pruned branches rather than cutting trees. Not every startup has to come at nature’s expense.
