Poverty is not created by capitalism. Poverty is the natural state. Socialism redistributes poverty along class + political lines. Capitalism creates and multiplies wealth so that a smaller portion of society are poor. Capitalism is the cure for poverty.

@mwalters1970 @TheAliceSmith I am being fully honest and it's true that mainstream media and academics on capitalism are overdetermined by capitalist class concerns.

@mariaxxnn Most people think it’s something external. It’s not. It’s living a life that doesn’t align with who you are and then trying to distract yourself from feeling it.

@mariaxxnn Recently, the inability of the human being to adjust to 10k per day signals (visual, auditory) whereas a French peasant had 1000 a year. Phones, computers, deadline, slavery called "capitalism", enormous food, cosmetics, clothes inflation, in short: the environment.

LHGrey™️@grey4626

Oh, Chief Big Heap of Lies...you pompous, preening architect of economic suicide… here you slither again with your rehashed Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act, that rancid, soul-crushing Trojan horse of envy politics dressed up as “justice.” No. This is not policy. This is the dumbest fucking idea ever vomited forth from the progressive fever swamps, a direct transfusion of communist venom into the veins of the American Republic. And we are not a laboratory for your utopian experiments. We are a constitutional republic forged in the fire of capitalism, where individual liberty and voluntary exchange built the most prosperous civilization in human history…not your government-as-God redistribution racket. Wealth taxes are not “new.” They are the same parasitic fantasy that has failed everywhere it’s been tried, because they rest on the same psychological poison that animates every communist corpse-pile: the seething resentment of the unproductive toward the productive. You prey on that base human vice…envy masquerading as equity…knowing full well that the ultra-wealthy do not hoard cash in mattresses. Their fortunes are productive capital: factories, patents, startups, investments that employ millions and generate the tax revenue you pretend to “need.” Confiscate it, and you don’t get fairy-tale funding for your laundry list of handouts. You get capital flight, asset fire-sales, crushed 401(k)s, and an innovation exodus that turns America into the next cautionary tale. Europe already ran this experiment and recoiled in horror. France’s ISF wealth tax? A spectacular own-goal that drove an estimated 42,000 millionaires fleeing to friendlier shores, netting a pittance in revenue while bleeding the economy dry…until even Macron’s government axed it in disgust. Sweden, Norway, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands…they all tried, they all watched investment evaporate, administrative costs balloon into absurdity (valuing illiquid art, private companies, and family farms is a bureaucratic nightmare that makes the IRS look competent), and they all repealed the damn things. Real-world data, not your cherry-picked Saez-Zucman fantasies. But facts are stubborn things when your ideology demands denial. Spare me the “democratic socialism” fig leaf, Senator…this is straight from the red playbook. Marx and Engels didn’t invent class warfare; they weaponized it. The Soviet Union collectivized wealth and starved 7 million in the Holodomor alone, then millions more in engineered famines and gulags because central planners cannot allocate resources like free markets do. Mao’s Great Leap Forward? Thirty to forty-five million dead in the greatest man-made famine in history…because seizing “the rich” and dictating production turns grain into corpses. Venezuela, your modern petri dish: once the wealthiest nation in Latin America, it nationalized oil wealth under the Chavistas, printed money like confetti, and delivered hyperinflation, empty shelves, and mass exodus while the elite fled with their billions. Cuba, North Korea, Cambodia under Pol Pot… every single time the state declares war on “excess” wealth, the body count rises and the bread lines form. Why? Because incentives matter. Human beings respond to rewards, not edicts. Strip the creators of their fruits and you don’t get utopia…you get stagnation, corruption, and the boot on the neck of the ambitious. It’s the psychology of the looter: zero-sum thinking that pretends one man’s skyscraper steals from another’s shack, ignoring the explosive wealth creation that lifted billions out of poverty under capitalism. Your $6.2 trillion mirage over ten years? A mirage built on static scoring that ignores behavioral reality. The Republic our Founders designed was explicitly engineered against this mob-rule plunder. Your policies don’t “work” because they were never meant to. They’re a Trojan horse for control, pure and simple. We reject it. Completely. 💀⚔️

Díaz-Canel is a dictator who wants to rule Cuba with an iron fist. For 67 years, Cuba has been a Communist dictatorship. They have suppressed the free speech of the Cuban people. The Cuban people today are rationing food. Their economy is flat on its back. We need full-scale regime change in Cuba NOW.

@rrkenn_ @FxBoogeyman1 @Rickyjoey666 @Comrade_Kamara @Emma_Bima @AfricanJesu @desertstorrm @Ebube_Umerah @IgboTradeRoutes @Frankfairshare @Igwe_simba Capitalists spread capitalism through colonization and imperialism. Capitalism is a system for the capitalists and against the common people it calls "the working class" and it's imposed by violence as it makes us work for land access. It is not "free exchange" it's slavery.

@edlovesiraq @patriach2051 when one party is under duress then it's not actually a fair negotiation and that's the case for the working class in capitalism because we don't have a right to land so we have no choice but to sell our labor somewhere or die.

@patriach2051 What agreement? Every job is a negotiation, if you don't like the pay don't take the job. Capitalism is mutual negotiation, anything else is compulsion and slavery.

@mwalters1970 @TheAliceSmith if you reasonably have enough to survive with a reasonable amount of work that is sustainable for you then that is not poverty, it might be just on the poverty line but it's not poverty. but why do you only have that much?

@mwalters1970 @TheAliceSmith okay well you should realize that the mainstream definition of capitalism in a capitalist dictionary is not going to tell you a full and accurate definition, it is a sanitized definition

@SageThinker99 @TheAliceSmith Our differing definitions of what capitalism is does make this conversation difficult. I used the standard definition. Not Rand's or Mises, which I prefer. You use a Marxist definition. I don't mean you are a Marxist, but the definition is similar to that of Marx.

The most annoying thing about being human on Earth right now is the absolute waste of potential. Brilliant minds and artists could be solving world hunger, climate change, and ending cancer, etc. We could house, feed, clothe, and care for everyone. But instead, we’ve decided to let a handful of asshats become billionaires, start wars, murder and imprison people, and keep the majority in poverty while ruining the climate. It’s so stupid. The wasted ingenuity hurts to think about.

No, billionaires don't keep everyone poor; you're just Woke. Wokeism is when you ruin your life with your own stupidity and then blame the universe for the outcomes. All the problems you described are in place b/c of people like you who care more about appearances than outcomes. ... Which is why they spend all their time virtue-signaling on the internet instead of being part of the solution
