Peter Obi's attack on NADECO and his attempt to denigrate the leaders of that movement and it's members who single handedly fought military rule and made the ultimate sacrifice for democracy in our country is a crying shame and shall not go unanswered. I recall that he worked assidiously for General Abacha whilst our NADECO leaders and footsoldiers resisted him and were being locked up, driven into exile, subjected to the most brutal form of oppression, persecution and torture, blown to pieces with bombs and slaughtered by soldiers in the streets. Worse still the unrecognised and defunct Association of Destructive C*nts (ADC) of which he is a leader has a National Chairman by the name of Brigadier General David Mark (rtd) who, in 1993, said that if the winner of the June 12th 1993 election, Chief MKO Abiola, was sworn in as President he would shoot him in the head! It is because of people like Peter, David Mark and Abacha that the military Head of State at the time, General Ibrahim Babangida, was compelled to annul Abiola's election after which the nation was thrown into chaos and turmoil with many innocent and defenceless Nigerians killed over the next 6 blood-soaked and terrifying years. Peter's Obidient supporters were not born at the time and do not know the shameful role he played in that chapter of our history but we will educate them. He was a quivering and chicken-hearted coward then and he remains one till today. He and the members of his deregistered and defunct party should be the last people to talk about fighting for democracy and accusing other's of not being democrats and of being dictators. Most of them were part and parcel of the brutal military regimes that terrorised our people and, unlike others, he did not have the guts to resist tyranny and oppression at the time but instead wholeheartedly espoused, embraced and supported it. I would advise him to keep NADECO out of his foul, irreverent and disrespectful mouth or we will take him to the cleaners. He should enjoy the democracy and free speech that we have today which others fought and died for between 1992 and 1999 and stop trying to revise history and rubbish the efforts of our heroes past. Many of us were in NADECO and we are living witnesses to what happened. We spoke out, wrote articles, suffered persecution, were locked up, were tortured were killed and were forced into exile. Some of us had our homes burnt by the military and our relatives targetted and murdered. Those were the darkest days of our history which many seem to have conveniently down played or forgotten today. Those were also the days when our country came closest into breaking into two and a second civil war was imminent. What pains me the most is when I see NADECO veterans like Dele Momodu and Rauf Aregbesola in the ranks of these people who are rubbishing their past sacrifices. Imagine Rauf holding the microphone for David Mark the architect of Abiola's woes and one of the reasons he is no longer alive today in a press conference? In fairness to Atiku Abubakar he opposed Abacha too but Obi was firmly in bed with him and Mark was one of the primary architects of the annulment of June 12th. The blood of all our colleagues and compatriots that were killed at that time still pains and hurts us and we shall NEVER forget them. That innocent blood that was spilt by the Government he supportred shall haunt Obi for the rest of his life and disqualifies him from EVER becoming President or playing a key role in the affairs of our great country again. Others stood, spoke out and fought like men at the time but, like the French General Vichy who betrayed his people and collaborated with the Nazis during World War 11, Peter capitulated, bowed, trembled, bent the knee, betrayed our people and collaborated with our oppressors and our collective enemy. Yet today he has the nerve to open his mouth and seek to denigrate those that refused to do so. Shame!

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

PRESS RELEASE INEC’S POSITION ON THE COURT OF APPEAL’S DECISION IN APPEAL NO. CA/ABJ/145/2026: SENATOR DAVID MARK V HON. NAFIU BALA GOMBE & ORS The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received: A letter from the law firm of Suleiman Usman SAN & Co. dated 16th March, 2026, titled: “RE: NOTICE OF PENDING PROCEEDINGS BEFORE THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT AND CAUTION AGAINST ANY PURPORTED RECOGNITION OF MR NAFIU BALA GOMBE AS ACTING NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC)” written on behalf of concerned stakeholders within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) A letter from the law firm of Summit Law Chambers also dated 16th March 2026 titled: “DEMAND FOR ENFORCEMENT OF THE ORDERS MADE BY THE COURT OF APPEAL, ABUJA DIVISION IN APPEAL NO: CA/ABJ/145/2026: SENATOR DAVID MARK V HON. NAFIU BALA GOMBE & 4 ORS” written on behalf of Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe. While the letter from Suleiman Usman SAN & Co urged the Commission not to recognise Mr Nafiu Bala Gombe as acting National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on account of the pending Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025: Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe v. ADC & 4 Ors. before the Federal High Court, Abuja, where the question of the leadership of the Party (ADC) is presently being contested, the letter from Summit Law Chambers, on the other hand, attached the certified True Copy of the Judgment of the Court of Appeal in Suit No. CA/ABJ/145/2026: Senator David Mark v Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe & Ors and requested the Commission to enforce the judgement of the Court of Appeal, including: Ceasing recognition of Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Chairman and National Secretary respectively of ADC; Removing their names from the Commission’s portal; and Refraining from dealing with or recognising any actions taken by them in respect of the party in line with the preservation orders made by the Court of Appeal. Subsequently, by another letter on the same subject matter dated 27th March, 2026, Summit Law Chambers alleged that the Commission had acted in disobedience of the Court of Appeal’s Orders by: i. Inviting Senator David Mark’s group to a political parties’ meeting held on Tuesday, 24th March, 2026; and ii. Monitoring a purported National Executive Committee meeting of that group. The solicitors (Summit Law Chambers) further drew the attention of the Commission to the Motion Ex-Parte and Motion on Notice filed by their client on 15th December, 2025, seeking to prevent the 1st Defendant (ADC) from holding any convention, congress, conference, or meeting and to stop INEC from attending, monitoring, observing or recognising any activities of the ADC. They accordingly requested INEC to invalidate the NEC meeting held by Senator David Mark's group on 25th March, 2026, remove the name of Senator David Mark's group from the INEC portal, stop recognising or acknowledging correspondence from them until the determination of the pending suit before the Federal High Court, Abuja and allow Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe to take over the affairs of ADC pending the determination of the case, and that INEC should respect the orders of the Court of Appeal in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/145/2026. ORDERS OF THE COURT OF APPEAL In its judgement delivered on 12th March, 2026, the Court of Appeal dismissed the interlocutory appeal by Senator David Mark and made amongst others, the following Orders: “Finally, it is necessary to make preservatory orders to ensure that the subject matter of the dispute pending before the trial court is not prejudiced as Courts have inherent powers to control and regulate proceedings to ensure justice...

VIRAL COMMENT OF A YOUTH LEADER ON RUKUBA COMMUNITY UNPROVOKED ATTACK, FALSE AND MISLEADING The attention of Headquarters Joint Task Force Operation ENDURING PEACE has been drawn to a false comment by one of the youth leaders of Angwan Rukuba Community, circulating on various social media platforms, alleging that troops provided cover for the perpetrators of Palm Sunday unprovoked attack at Angwan Rukuba Community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. Ordinarily, the reply to the comment made by the youth leader would not have been necessary, especially in this moment of grief, but for the purpose of clarity and the benefit of well meaning Nigerians it is expedient to state unequivocally that at no point did troops provide any form of cover for the terrorists elements who carried out the unfortunate attack that claimed the lives of innocent citizens. Rather, troops on receiving a distress call on the unfortunate incident swiftly mobilised to the scene, which was far away from where they were deployed and observed that the attackers had fled. Troops acted professionally to avert what could have spiraled to endless bloodshed and pursued the fleeing criminals as can be attested to, by so many survivors who were at the scene of the attack. Specifically, 4 Guntrucks mounted by troops were despatched to the incident scene and they acted professionally on arrival as confirmed by other security agencies, as well as eye witnesses at the scene of the attack. Nonetheless, the allegation was promptly investigated and confirmed to be false. The comment by the youth leader is false, misleading and unfortunate, capable of demoralizing troops and causing disaffection between the Military and its host community. The public is requested to discountenance the comment, remain calm, law abiding and continue to support troops with credible and actionable information on terrorists activities. Troops in conjunction with other security agencies have adopted effective strategies to unravel and apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act. Troops will continue to deal decisively with criminals while maintaining peace in every part of Plateau State. SURELY THEY SHALL GATHER.... It is clear that the strategy of the opposition is to spread fake news in the media in order to create tension and panic in the ranks of the Government and the ruling party, knock our heads together, create dissection in our ranks and plant doubts in our minds about our ability to win. Every day they come up with something new like the fake news about the Governor of Nassarawa state working for Atiku. Tomorrow it will be someone else. The space is getting heated up now and judging by their level of desperation and their inclination for disinformation those of us that are in the APC and that are supporting President Tinubu must close ranks and brace ourselves for the mother of all struggles in 2027. The Holy Bible says "surely they shall gather but it shall not be of me. Whosoever gathers against thee shall be scattered for thy sake". On its own part the Holy Koran says "surely they are planning but Allah is the greatest planner of all". No matter how many local collaborators and traitors with the help of their foreign friends that are trying to destablise our Government and country and set us on fire one thing remains clear, light cannot be overcome by darkness and evil cannot prevail over good. I have no doubt that despite the fact that they are gathering together more and more each day we shall surely overcome. What we need to do is to get our act together, prepare our battle formations and rise up to the occassion by bringing some of our youngest, brightest and most courageous youths into the fray and the forefront of the fight. By Gods grace the President shall be re-elected in 2027 and Nigeria shall continue to go from strength to strength. God wills it! (FFK)

On this my 74th birthday, I celebrate the valiant men and women of our Armed Forces. Today, I have directed the Accountant-General of the Federation to establish a special account for a fund dedicated to those who serve, those wounded in the line of duty, and the families of those who have paid the ultimate price. As a personal commitment, all my salaries since assuming office will be paid into this account as seed funding, irrespective of existing insurance and welfare schemes for members of our armed forces. This fund will directly support those who have lost their limbs, and the widows, widowers, and children of those who laid down their lives in service to our dear country. I call on our Governors, members of the National Assembly, the private sector, my friends and all well-wishers to support this initiative. Details of the account will be made available in due course. We must never forget those who stand in harm’s way for our peace, nor the sacrifices borne by their families. This is not charity. It is duty. And we will fulfil it.
