@DuffyVince I get your anger Vince, but it should be directed at the board of directors who failed to plan for his departure, which we all knew was coming. We are rudderless at the moment in the boardroom which has directly impacted our failure on the park.

@IanMurrayMP Agreed Ian, in fact he is even more dangerous than that, but let’s be honest (look that word up in the dictionary) you would prefer Farage as PM to an independent Scotland. Prove me wrong.

@Neilsocialist Labour denied us devolution for years and even twisted democracy to deny it. They’re doing it again. The hard truth for apologists like you is that they would prefer a Farage govt to Scottish independence.

@northendsaint @theweeman1961 @juan_sanshoe I’m afraid that there seems to be no leadership in the boardroom Ian. No succession plan even when it was clear that SR and Jim Gillespie were leaving. Rudderless on & off the park which is a recipe for disaster.

@juan_sanshoe We must not go in to our 150th anniversary in anything other than the top division. Players must show some desire, dedication and pride. Not too much to ask

We 100% deserve to go down. Losing 2-0 at home to Livingston was a disgrace. The players have completely chucked it and turned what should have been a season to celebrate winning our 5th major trophy has turned into a horror show.

This should concern every Democrat. It’s within living memory that many Scottish employers wouldn’t employ catholics. It still rankles remembering the look of horror on an interviewers face when he realised I was a left footer. This is a dangerous path to take🤔

@divirvine Roland has produced nothing this season and the absence of Tanser is baffling. A strange line up for our most important league match of the season notwithstanding injuries and suspensions.

@williamnhutton The Labour Party destroyed the “progressive” cause Will. A very obtuse take if I might respectfully say in regard to independence as it’s more complicated than you attempt to make it as I personally know several Labour voters who would take independence before a Farage govt.

There is a lie at the heart of the Scottish National Party and Plaid Cymru. They are champions of an independence for which both know there is no electoral majority. Yet by hoovering up the progressive vote they destroy the progressive cause nationally. Time for a federal Britain

@Neilsocialist Your party has shat the bed Neil despite having a massive majority at the last UK general election and trying to spin it like this is one of the (many) reasons that you are not fit to govern.

@paulhutcheon It has also- once again- raised questions about the absolute gutter political press and media that we have in Scotland (although they are all serving masters in another country) and you in particular are a perfect example.

Anas Sarwar never stood a chance in the Holyrood election as he was judged in relation to Keir Starmer. This defeat should raise profound questions about the link between Scottish and UK Labour.

@2351onthelist @afneil Like Norway? Seriously?? Like Ireland? Like Denmark? Like Iceland? Let’s agree to disagree as your suggestion that I want to “destroy Scotland completely” is as infantile as it is ignorant.

You also run the biggest budget deficit in Europe — an incredibly 12% of GDP or £26 billion — which Westminster underwrites. How would you cover that with your ‘independence’? And with what currency?

In England, where over 90% of land is privately owned, the “right to roam” debate is intensifying. “Why don’t you want to pay?” asks landowner Francis Fulford. “We just want easier access to nature,” says campaigner Guy Shrubsole. Can common ground be found? We brought them together to find out.

That an oil producing nation of 5M people”is a failed state”is the best and most persuasive argument for independence that anyone could make. The fact that he thinks Daisley is “always insightful” is just hilarious.
Andrew Neil@afneil

From the always insightful Stephen Daisley, this tells you more about the sad state of the country than a thousand pieces of Westminster analysis. Scotland is already a lost cause. But the rest of the country is heading in the same direction. spectator.com/article/malcol…

@tirnaog_09 @1969_Just_Joe When I started working (1975) in Kinning Park,we would frequent 3 bars where the owners, all Scottish football legends, Alex Ferguson(Fergies) Jim Baxter (Baxter’s) and Jock Stein (The Lord Darnley)would regularly be behind the bar serving pints. Changed days..

@1969_Just_Joe One of life's ironies that some pretty average modern players can retire and never need to work again while some greats of the past worked in bars or building sites.

Jimmy Johnstone and his wife Agnes in their early days together. Players then often lived in the communities they were brought up in and weren't paid the relative fortunes top stars earn today. What a player the wee guy was though.
