@Nigel1804151 @c_laboda I think leases on these new builds are too expensive to offer the same value and still be viable for a business owner. Along with other rising costs the restaurant industry is seeing. You almost need to be grandfathered in to make it work.

The Wedgwood Broiler in North Seattle was victim to a fire this week. Currently there’s no timetable for a reopening, as the building was set to be demolished to build new apartments. Put some Cheez-Its on a salad tonight for this Old-Seattle relic. Thanks for the memories.

I left mildly disappointed but it’s Safeway so what can we really expect. We’ll treat this as a case study for the importance of quality bread. If you pull out some wonderbread looking slices it doesn’t matter what you put inside, you’re toast!

It needed more acidity but the real issue here was the paper thin white bread. The meat and fixings were nothing special but if you’d swapped out the bread for a ciabatta or something it would’ve been very solid for a grocery store sub.
