@austinenergy We are on Day 2 with no power. No power means no heat, electric stove means we are unable to cook if there is no power . Please help us, we are suffering over here in Southeast Austin/Bluff Springs . Why are we bring punished?!?

Biggest takeaway from @AustinEnergyGM: ERCOT says this situation is likely to continue through the night & possibly into Tuesday afternoon. It depends on what we do as consumers to manage our energy use. The more we can conserve, the more we can help our neighbors.

@charliecorke @austinenergy And all they are doing is asking people with power to conserve it instead of truly rotating the outages . Over 12 hours without power in Bluffs Springs, our stove is electric so we are unable to cook warm food.

@austinenergy Translated: "We turned off the power selectively based on income per neighborhood starting at the lowest. We broke the ability to roll black outs and have stopped half way through. We will stay like this until those with power stop using as much of it."

ROTATING OUTAGE UPDATE at 7:15 a.m.: Austin Energy has shed load on all available circuits that do not include critical load. This has impacted our ability to rotate outages among customers. Electric load must be reduced in order to fully restore service across the ERCOT grid.1/5

@austinenergy No power here in 78745. Been out since 2am. Do you know what rotating means? Cause you obviously don’t since it’s been 5 hours. Our food we just got yesterday is most likely bad. FIX THIS! Let those who have had power and stayed warm last night have their turn.

@austinenergy Our power has been off got over 12 hours, how is the rotating? Plenty of homes have power. We are in an apt, all electric, we are unable to cook warm food. Why do you say you are rotating but you really aren't !

Austin Energy regularly updates its list of critical loads (such as hospitals 🏥) not subject to outage. For all other areas subject to rotating outages, our system randomly selects which areas go on outage to meet ERCOT’s directives. (3/5)
