Here’s what we’d like Keir Starmer to to explore with the EU in Brussels this week: Thread 🧵 1. Better mutual mobility

This is HUGE Because it shows that: 1. Bilateral agreements on visa waivers are possible …in spite of “Schengen rules” blah de blah)** 2. That they are desirable to both sides 3. That they are needed. (**you know who you are) Like & follow for more spainenglish.com/2026/03/18/uk-…

The evidence IS overwhelming. Rejoining the EU is inevitable, so why wait until further damage has been done? The public are behind it. Time to stop being afraid of a Brexiter backlash & to start the application process. EU will welcome us back if we can prove we mean business.
Sadiq Khan@SadiqKhan

The evidence is overwhelming: Brexit has been a disaster for London and the UK. Rejoining the EU is now clearly in our national interest. The option to rejoin should be on the ballot at the next General Election. theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

Probably the most important video I have made in a while. It explains why if you are pro European and British now is the time to speak up for a Swiss style deal for our future with the EU as something both sides could agree. Please watch to the end to understand why.

1.Thread 🧵 Freedom of Movement wasn’t just a policy. It was a simple freedom: the ability to say yes. • Yes to a job. • Yes to love. • Yes to a new life in another country. When that freedom disappeared, something subtle but important changed.

@andrewhesselden I've just been at the Twin Fair in Calais, handing out maps of Kent, promoting the county's attractions and showing them what it has to offer. So many locals told me how they used to come over for day trips before Brexit made passports necessary and long border delays inevitable.

A decade on from the Brexit referendum, Europe and the United Kingdom need to move forward from the ghosts of the past and find a new way of working together. That's the pragmatic realism we need to see more of in today's world.

@RejoinP @SaveFOM Yes, we do agree and have campaigned for a fully independent judicial public inquiry for more than a decade. Latest revelations about Paul Manafort #RefUK links and transactions are concerning. Glad you campaign for this PI too.

🚨BREAKING: Parliament will debate the petition Calling for a FULL public inquiry into a Russian influence. 🇬🇧 Unlike other parties who were infiltrated or hid. We campaigned for 5 years on this and it’s clear to us Russia interfered in the Brexit campaign. Do you agree? Time to Exit Brexit.

The delay of ETIAS to 2027 will be welcomed by many non EU travellers who navigate Schengen borders on a regular basis. It also provides a window of opportunity for Starmer to negotiate a mutual exemption or even a return to mutual Freedom of Movement. bit.ly/45v9JpR

@Keir_Starmer You’re stopping us trading and living/working/studying/retiring freely in our continent. Everyone young and old deserves better.

Brexit the Elephant wishes you all a fabulous Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. “I wonder if 2026 will be the year we all rejoin the EU”, he wondered, hopefully. #BrexitTheElephant 🎄🐘 🎄🐘 🎄🐘 🎄🐘 🎄🐘
