Here’s my understanding w/out hving fully studied it. God the Father & Holy Spirit are spirit (no bodies). Jesus Christ has a glorified physical body, yet not limited. Now… believers in heaven are with God, awaiting bodily resurrection. Future… new heaven & earth, we receive glorified, physical bodies like Jesus’, both perfect & eternal. My understanding is that Scripture presents God the Father & the Holy Spirit as spirit, not embodied & it never describes them taking physical form in the way Jesus Christ did/does. The Father & Spirit are not shown as becoming incarnate or receiving bodies, even in eternity, while Jesus alone remains the incarnate Son. If we think about the description we get about God, the Father & how “You cannot see My face, for no one may see Me and live’” Exodus 33:20. This points to God’s unfiltered glory, His pure, infinite essence, which we finite, fallen humans can’t directly withstand. It’s Jesus Who makes Him known to us in a way we can safely & truly encounter. I would love to hear from anyone who has studied this more in-depth.🙏
