Europe must end 'fancy conferences' about Hormuz and 'get in a boat', U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says. He also adds that 'this is much more their fight than ours'. Latest: trib.al/edB2AjC 📺 Sky 501 and YouTube

The three favourites to replace Keir Starmer as Labour Leader are Angela Rayner, Ed Miliband and Wes Streeting. This is absolutely ridiculous. None of them are an improvement. They are all part of a failing government and tarnished Westminster swamp. If Labour are really serious about reconnecting with the public, they should completely reboot and go for Al Carns as their next leader. Ex Royal Marine, awarded the Military Cross, grew up in a working-class household in Aberdeen and is way more relatable and charismatic than the three stooge favourites for next Labour leader.

@apoliticaleye I bumped into Sir Tony on his way into The Mayor's Banquet while he was CDS, he'd travelled there with his partner in a taxi. No official car or protective detail.

Just a couple of years ago I snapped this image. Sir Tony Radakin the then Chief of Defence Staff, the most senior military man in the UK; taking a casual stroll from Downing street to the Ministry of Defence building. Just days ago we saw his colleagues making a similar journey, but this time hounded and harassed by those protesting at foreign wars and for ideological obsession. Its hard not to reflect on how far and how rapidly society has collapsed and whether today he would be able to make that short walk with nothing more than a bloke with a camera to contend with.

@ben_d_r @rorysutherland Not so much a premium, but to actively discourage domestic only use on that route. They ideally want to sell a long haul ticket with a connection via LHR.

What the hell explains this price discrepancy? It cannot be informed preference alone. What informational asymmetry is causing this?

"I don't think the message of the gospel is meant to be abused in the way some people are doing it." Pope Leo responds to President Trump, who said the Pope is "weak on crime and terrible for Foreign Policy". Pope Leo said he will continue to "promote peace" and that "someone has to stand up and say, 'there's a better way to do this'".

No, Kwasi: your company gave Farage a sweetheart deal. A bonus he can exercise in just two years. Ordinary shareholders don't have this. The penny-share nature of your firm means Farage is already ~£200k up (+93%). With crypto, hype creates value. thetimes.com/comment/column…
Stack BTC@stackbtc_

@FraserNelson you’ve got this the wrong way round. Nigel invested alongside every other shareholder, on exactly the same terms, and only does well if Stack delivers long‑term value, not a quick flip. The so‑called “bonus deal” only pays out if we hit ambitious market‑cap milestones that lift the share price for all investors, which is the opposite of a short‑term grift. If Nigel wanted an easy win, he’d avoid the scrutiny of a public listing, instead he’s put his own capital at risk, fully aligned with everyone backing Stack.
