I am imploring that the collective internet take a step back and understand how the justice system works, that this is not a plea of insanity at the time of the murder, and incompetence to stand trial is not a defense of the crime. It is a constitutionally protected right, that you have to be able to understand the proceedings and help in your defense.
Also, this trial is not over, the defense and prosecutor agreed to a 180 day hold, and the trial will continue once it is determined he is fit to stand trial. I like everyone else want to see him found guilty for the heinous crime, but the rage bait/ignorance over this is too much. No matter what this guy will never walk the streets again.

When I post stuff like this people always respond with "what does their record look like" and shit like that. I literally do not care what they have done in the past or how many times they have stolen from that store or anywhere else. Nobody should be caged over $2.75.

Prosecutor won't budge on a felony burglary charge wherein my client allegedly stole strawberry syrup from a grocery store (valued at $2.75). If they go down on it they lose their gun rights, ability to vote, and could serve real jail time. Over $2.75 worth of syrup. Insanity.
