@tacowasa2nd A lot of Liberal democrats are almost as conservative as the republicans. Leftists and progressives are the only real ones pushing for any positive changes

@tt_ttaa41634614 I mean Shakuyamuni and Confucius are the only ones who can provide logical arguments for why you should believe their teachings without faith based claims. Between Shakyamuni and Confucius, Shakyamuni’s philosophy is more logically sound in my opinion on a metaphysical level.

@pblitzfm Honestly that seems like the best way to read them, much less fanaticism if you don’t take everything literally.

@circleback Plenty of religions and groups of people get persecuted for their beliefs, that’s a mute point. In terms of logic, Christianity is leaps behind Buddhism, Hindusim, and even materialist philosophy. The amount of contradictions within Christian beliefs is astonishing.

@IcicleMatty @zt5019576939774 Because you love them and have compassion on them? And again you’re comparing human behavior and feelings to God, which is fallacious. God is supposed to be unconditionally compassionate, humans are not.

@Guinius999 @zt5019576939774 Anger is caused by some sort of disturbance. If nothing is disturbed in God, then there should be no anger. Also God is ultimately the source of that injustice, since he chose to create everything knowing that injustice would result. It’s ultimately his fault.

@SethSB4 @zt5019576939774 God isn't angry because we in some way hurt or diminished Him, because that's impossible. He's angry at the injustice itself, like if you see your neighbor hit his wife. And just because you have foreknowledge of a thing doesn't mean you'd be less outraged.

@IcicleMatty @zt5019576939774 Why should they need to ask in the first place? He already knew they would sin before he created them. He would automatically forgive them, there should be no need to ask if God is infinitely merciful.

@SethSB4 @zt5019576939774 Compassion without Justice is not virtue. God offers forgiveness to everyone, but they must ask for it. Is there ever a scene in the Bible where God refuses forgiveness to a penitent person?

@Guinius999 @zt5019576939774 God isn’t a human being though, is he? He’s perfect and omnipotent. So no, he wouldn’t be angry whatsoever by that. How could anything upset an omnipotent being? Not to mention since is he is all-knowing he already knew humans would reject him before he created them.

@cure_suama There are Good people from every religion, that’s nothing special. What ultimately matters is that your religion is logically justifiable and superior over others, which Christianity utterly fails in when compared to Buddhist or Hindu philosophy.

@dairioutou But the God of the Old Testament is the same as the New Testament, so whatever evil is done by God in the Old Testament can’t just be ignored by Christians who say “the new covenant makes all that meaningless”, that doesn’t matter, it’s still the actions of the same God.

@KishoMoririn Another question: why does God even care if we sin if he is perfect and omnipotent? Why would he be disturbed at all by human behavior? Logically, he should be unconditionally compassionate.

@zt5019576939774 Monotheism itself is not arrogant, however, God as presented in the Bible is 100% arrogant, jealous, and angry which makes no sense if Christians claim he’s omnipotent. It’s impossible for a perfect omnipotent being to be disturbed by anything, let alone us puny mortals.

@JesterGreer @yorimeidori So your answer is just theories and speculation that are not given anywhere in scripture so you have to make some up to explain. Doesn’t sound convincing to me, but whatever

@SethSB4 @yorimeidori There is no such thing as purgatory. This is not mentioned in The Bible anywhere. That is a catholic fabrication. People are not unjustly sent to hell. They may have been reborn, or judged.

@JesterGreer @yorimeidori So the point still stands, those people who were born and died in the past without hearing the gospel were unjustly sent to hell or purgatory for something they had no choice in.

@SethSB4 @yorimeidori No, you cannot be virtuous enough. You will have to face God's judgment. And you do not want to face God's judgment. The people of the past had it different. Today we are in an age where Jesus' Sacrifice is known across the world.

@SethSB4 @yorimeidori Christian here. Those who were separated by time and distance from The Gospel will be judged by God. The reason for being saved is so we do not have to face Judgment. We will have free entry into Heaven. I hope this answers your question. 🤍
