The Scottish border is just 4.5 hours & 272 miles away from my village in England & I have never been. I have never been to Scotland🤦‍♀️. I need to change this. But I am not alone. Brits see any journey over an hour to be unnecessary & hardship (and expensive in petrol terms).

This is bullshit. We actively helped them in the Falklands, short of engaging in combat ourselves. We allowed them to use the Ascencion Island, we gave them key weapons (Sidewinder and Shrike among others), gave them intelligence on how to protect their aircraft carrier and actually let them know if they lost their carrier they could use an American one (which gave them freedom to use their carrier properly).
