I hear that a container of #tungsten in Europe has traded at $3,217. Will this be reflected in Fast Markets weekly assessment today? This makes sense - Europe is the short whilst China, which has been driving the marlet higher, has stopped exporting. Panic phase is here.

Australia imports ~70–80% of its diesel. Most of that fuel is refined in Asia using primarily Middle Eastern crude oil. Is this killing my Australian coal stocks idea?

@ShowerCapAM Yes that is a good point and there are still relevant things that the AI doesn't understand or know how to crunch real information. Thank you for the feedback. Continuing to develop this multiagent simulator-model

Kept developing and debugging my mini version of Mirofish as an EQR simulator 7 AI analyst agents. 7 different perspectives. 1 synthesized view on EQ Resources. Fed it the new Bloomberg tungsten release + eqr investor presentation + eqr half year report + almonty full year results. Now it spits out far more interesting takes and somewhat relevant information. This is a good introduction to the company and the tungsten situation if you are not so familiar with it. And now in English. What do you think? #tungsten $eqr.ax Results below 👇

#mirofish

The commodity cycle tends to follow a clear sequence: Precious metals → Industrial metals → Energy → Soft commodities Each stage reflects where money is flowing as the economic environment changes. At the start of a cycle, uncertainty is high, so capital moves into precious metals like gold. These are seen as safe havens. As confidence improves, money rotates into industrial metals like copper. These are used in construction and infrastructure, so they benefit from growth. Then comes energy as demand increases from expanding economies. Finally, we reach soft commodities, which are things like wheat, corn, livestock, and agriculture-related stocks. But this isn’t just something you just see on a chart. It’s happening in the real world. We’re already seeing supply pressure build. Adam was sitting next to a farmer on the way to Perth, and the farmer mentioned he’s going from 8000 hectares down to 5000. And that’s best case. That’s a huge drop. And it’s not just one farmer. He said this is happening across the board. Farmers are scaling back. So supply is already tightening. Now layer on top of that rising costs. Fertiliser is expensive. Fuel is expensive. These are essential inputs. Farmers can’t operate without them. So when costs rise, farmers have two choices: 1) Absorb the cost and reduce profits 2) Cut back production Most choose to cut back. This is where it becomes really important to understand supply and demand in simple terms. When input costs rise: - Farmers produce less - Total supply drops - Demand doesn’t change much - Prices have to rise That’s the adjustment mechanism. Less supply + steady demand = higher prices This is why soft commodities tend to move last in the cycle. It takes time for these pressures to build. First, energy rises Then input costs rise Then farmers react Then supply drops Then prices move There’s a lag. So what you’re really looking for now is early signs of that shift. Because once supply constraints fully show up in pricing, the move is usually already underway. Simple way to think about it: Energy going up puts pressure on agriculture Agriculture responds by reducing supply Reduced supply pushes prices higher That’s the transition phase of the cycle. And that’s why agricultural stocks are starting to come into focus now.

@ChrisHeHim1 These wind companies need to get pulled into line. They take OUR wind for free and then charge ORDINARY AUSSIES a fortune for something they get for free! It's time that they get pulled into line with a LEVY on their WINDFALL profits.

Australia must be making a fortune out of the surging gas prices via development in Iran right? Oh I forgot, we give it away for free. The gas companies are making a fortune, Australia gets almost nothing. Meanwhile the Labor party is paid to turn a blind eye

@clawrence Question: why does the wind dip so much during the day? Are the being taken off line because it’s now needed? Surely the wind blows in the middle of the day.

Battery storage in ERCOT is now routinely providing 10%-20% of power required by the Texas grid during times of peak demand. Five years ago, we had no batteries in ERCOT. The next 5 years are going to be nuts.

There is always telling info when you look at VOLUME + PRICE together.. 2/3 into March with $YAL.AX & $NHC.AX lining up to break their monthly volume records & $TER.AX already has smashed it (see below).. big vol right on breakout candles is not a random coincidence.. it's as clear signal you can get & much better than drowning in random narratives or listening to "experts".. #coaltwitter

Can we have a windfall profits tax on the financial services sector next (windfall house price gains + large loan sizes)? Why should they benefit at the expense of ordinary Australians? Why don't we just have a nationwide windfall profits tax on every industry over a certain profit margin %?

Breaking – the prime minister's department has requested options to impose a new tax on gas giants. This is welcome news and could be very good for the country! 👏👏👏 Read more: theaus.in/4rOupRP

Looks like the government might finally be caving to the pressure myself, others on the crossbench & especially Australians in communities across the country have been putting on them to tax gas companies making wartime profits. Australians are already paying more on petrol & we shouldn’t be paying more on beer excise than the government gets for Petroleum Resources Rent Tax (PRRT). It’s encouraging to see Treasury modelling changes to the way gas is taxed. We should have a flat 25% tax on all gas exports & enough gas exports diverted into an east coast gas reservation & we need both now. abc.net.au/news/2026-03-2…

I haven't produced one because I don't think it is particularly consequential to the thesis. EQR will ramp from current total production ~150,000 to the projected numbers in their latest presentation just based on operational improvements in Spain and Carbine now into ore rather than low grade stockpiles. There is upside to EQR production if they get the plant upgrade + UG project in the works in a few years time and they have some other "side projects" ie: Watershed (potential buy) + Wolfram Camp

pretty confident bottom was in this week oversold -35% from ath in few sessions $alm outperformed with terrible results mkt currently pricing $eqr.ax at a 2026 p/e of 1 (earnings = market cap) CRAZY tungsten keeps going up despite geopo issues time to run it back $eqr.ax
jim (offline)@jimcx0

I fed claude with these datas and gave it three scenarios regarding $EQR.AX and #tungsten S1 > China eases a bit quotas (more supply, apt price way lower) S2> Iran war drags · Defense demand surges (Defense demand > industrial loss) S3> Iran de-escalates (risk appetite, specu)
