BREAKING: ALLEGED OUTLINE OF THE 10 CHARGES AGAINST EL-RUFAI
1. Excessive Severance Payment
(Abuse of Office):
Allegedly approved and received N289.8 million as severance benefits, far above the lawful entitlement of about N20 million.
2. Money Laundering (Federal High Court):
Accused of receiving funds he was not entitled to, including suspicious financial inflows linked to unlawful sources.
3. Receipt of Foreign Currency from
Questionable Sources:
Allegedly received foreign currency payments traced to individuals/entities connected to illicit activities.
4. Diversion of World Bank Funds (Criminal
Breach of Trust):
More than $1 million from a World Bank loan was allegedly diverted and misused contrary to agreed terms.
5. Irregular Award of N11 Billion Light Rail
Contract:
Approved funds for a light rail project awarded to Indokaduna MRTS JV Nigeria Ltd, a company allegedly not properly registered, for a project that was never executed.
6. Procurement Breach - CCTV Contract
(N4.61 Billion):
Approved a CCTV contract to Singularity Network Security Ltd in violation of Kaduna
State procurement laws.
7. Undue Advantage in $22.475 Million
Contract:
Used his office to confer improper benefit on the same company through another contract valued at $22.475 million.
8. Land Fraud and False Representation:
Allegedly conspired with an associate (Ahmadu Sule) and companies to submit false information to acquire land along the Kaduna-Zaria Expressway.
9. Unlawful Revocation and Reallocation of Land:
Revoked a valid Certificate of Occupancy belonging to Mohammed Umar Karage and reallocated the land to associates amounting to abuse of office and breach of trust.
10. Attempt to Obstruct Justice (Conspiracy):
Allegedly conspired to offer financial inducements in Nigeria and abroad (including Dubai and Cairo) to influence investigators probing the Singularity contracts.

BREAKING: Thousands of residents have gathered at Muhammed Murtala Square to Seek Accountability from El-rufai over Past Actions as Governor of Kaduna State.
The protesters are calling for the investigation and prosecution of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai over decisions taken during his eight-year administration.
They have expressed grievances over what they allege to be the mass disengagement of state workers, the alleged diversion of state funds, the alleged demolition of homes, markets and business premises, as well as what they describe as the targeting of opposition figures.
Leading the demonstration, Comrade Joseph Chori urged the Federal Government to take decisive action, saying those affected deserve justice and accountability.
The protest is continuing at this time. We will bring you further updates from the square as developments unfold.

As expected, Obidients have brought out their calculators again, drawing bold lines on paper and calling it a winning strategy for 2027. Social media energy is not the same thing as electoral strength. Noise is not structure. Vibes are not votes.
In 2023, Bola Ahmed Tinubu contested as a challenger. In 2027, he goes in as a sitting president. Incumbency is not theory. It is influence, structure, alliances, and institutional weight. Power does not sit idle and watch itself get displaced.
The governors and political machinery that helped Atiku Abubakar rack up those numbers are no longer standing where they used to. The alignment has shifted. The structure has thinned. Politics is ground game, not nostalgia.
Peter Obi promised a New Nigeria, yet kept moving with the same old political circle. You cannot market reform while embracing the establishment you condemned. People are watching. Enthusiasm fades when consistency is missing.
On the other side, APC is pulling more weight. More defections. More alliances. More consolidation. Politics is about expansion, not emotional speeches and trending hashtags.
Nobody is carrying over their last vote count like unused airtime. Elections reset the table. New realities. New interests. New power blocs.
2027 will not reward online excitement. It will reward structure, alliances, and hard political arithmetic.
