Thank you @NYCSpeakerAdams & @NYCCouncil for prioritizing housing production -- and for advancing #CityofYes for Housing with thoughtful amendments. Never before has the city considered a city-wide text amendment to spur housing, and we appreciate your strong partnership.
(ARCHIVED) Adrienne Adams@NYCSpeakerAdams

The Council's #CityForAll housing plan with $5 billion of investments and modified zoning changes are estimated to create over 80,000 new homes, while helping to strengthen neighborhoods and make housing more affordable. This is the most pro-housing plan in NYC history, including the first citywide zoning text amendment designed to create new homes with our modification to open every part of the city to affordable housing through inclusionary zoning.

@DavidZipper @axios We don't give up easily, you know! There is indeed lots of support for congestion pricing.

The MTA just approved congestion pricing for NYC! It will improve transit, reduce traffic, clean the air and make streets safer. I have been working on this for the past 20 years with some amazing colleagues — this feels like a real milestone!

Congestion pricing's delay is officially stopping important work on capital projects - per the MTA Capital Committee presentation today. We've been raising this alarm for 2+ years - the COVId-19 delays + CP delays are severely damaging to the MTA's ability to fix the system.

@NJTRANSIT_ME I’m stuck on a ME train trying to get home to my sick son. The Governor should be funding the transit system not making riders pay more for unreliable service.

NJ TRANSIT has held the line on fares since 2015. But despite identifying savings and revenue enhancements, the agency still faces a budget gap for FY25.

@RegionalPlan’s billboard in Trenton says it all. Without dedicated transit funding, NJT service will be cut and fares raised, and current transit service is already bad! #fundNjtransit

Congestion pricing isn't just going to reduce gridlock and ensure our children can breathe cleaner air. It's going to help us invest in century-old public transit system so it's ready to serve New Yorkers for the next century to come.

Congestion pricing is more than just a traffic reduction program. It’s everyone’s #RouteForward to more accessible transportation, safer streets for a city on the move, and cleaner air from less traffic pollution.
