The Crew had only a single shot in the first half against Toronto, and when you dive into the use of Diego Rossi it is easy to understand why. You just cannot have one of key offensive players only on the ball 5 times in the attacking half. #crew96

@_kody_day Taha has been a puzzle I have been thinking about. Obvious talent, but extremely inconsistent. I view Taha's play as investing in the upside, and hoping he takes that next step...because the people who would take his spot: Picard or Gazdag, are also talented but inconsistent.

@SoccerWithSam This is something I want a deeper look into. Our CAM, the guy who is supposed to orchestrate the offense, make things happen, has only 30 touches. And 0/1 successful dribbles. This is the offensive problem #Crew96

This angle of the goal is really illuminating. I think that this could have been saved by Freese, it is a tough save, and I think most GKs get beaten here. Wild to me that the xGOT does not factor in the deflection at all. Useful stat but models clearly miss some context. #USMNT

The Crew have struggled to start this season but one of their bright spots has been Schulte, who had some injury issues in 2025 and never quite looked right when he returned. I think the offseason was good for him, and he has looked strong in 2026 so far. #Crew96 #USMNT

@OhrRoy Yep, for better and worse. I loved Nancy's time here, but we saw some of cracks in his style last year, and are working to overcome that. I like Rydström, he seems extremely open and honest about those challenges, while also being accountable. His interviews are great

@SoccerWithSam Exactly. A lot of what we are seeing with this team is hold-overs from the Nancy era. I think fans have some selective memory of how things went last season.
