There's a small prototype that dropped during the Mystery Game Jam 2026 that caught my eye. Witch's Game by LunaMi Games (@RussellXin59311) is a Rashomon-style narrative puzzle horror set during a Salem-like witch hunt. Four sisters perform a divination ritual. The omen is a coffin. By morning, the youngest is dead and accusations are flying. You play as all four survivors, switching perspectives to piece together what actually happened through conflicting memories and lies. It's a classic point-and-click puzzle game with a strong Rusty Lake vibe — strange rituals, symbolic objects, and grim atmosphere. Here's what I found after digging into the feedback. itch.io/jam/mystery-ga…

We updated some artwork for Witch’s Game this week. The goal is not just to make it look better — but to make every face, object, and small detail feel a little more suspicious. #indiedev #puzzlegame

Thanks to @DionousGames for sharing Cult Vacui on #FollowFriday. Also a big shoutout to the developer @LBRTY_games. I took a closer look at the data. Here’s what I found. store.steampowered.com/app/3564670/Cu…

Quick Analysis: Inner Voice Hey guys. A quick analysis on Inner Voice (App ID 4139880), thanks to @DionousGames for putting it on my radar. Inner Voice is a slow-burn first-person psychological horror / narrative adventure from solo dev Nikos Chronopoulos (working under X INTERACTIVE) and published by Greek publisher @DionousGames. It released on April 30, 2026. You play as Booker, a man dealing with the loss of his wife, guided (or haunted) by a mysterious narrator through surreal, dreamlike environments. The design focuses on atmospheric exploration, environmental storytelling, light puzzle-solving, and choice-driven narrative with multiple endings. There's no combat, no chasing, no traditional horror gameplay. It leans into introspective, melancholic, unsettling vibes rather than jump scares, though a post-launch update reportedly added a few. Presentation is stylized and cinematic with strong emphasis on sound design, lighting, and surreal aesthetics. store.steampowered.com/app/4139880/In…

You didn’t ask, but the trending up chart hooked me, esp. for a 2-person indie team. Gamalytic data right now is outdated: 528 wishlists and 44 followers. So, congrats. The cozy-van shelf is one of the most commercially validated niches on Steam right now. Outbound (Square Glade, 2025 EA) cleared ~1.6M wishlists, ~77k copies, and ~$1.6M in revenue on essentially the same "cozy van, build a life" pitch, just without zombies. Camper Van: Make it Home (Malapata, 2024) hit ~143k wishlists and ~$479k from a pure cozy van decoration puzzle. Even unreleased VanLife Simulator is already at ~63k wishlists. In the Van is sitting roughly two orders of magnitude below the floor of its own genre, despite arguably having the sharpest mechanical hook of the bunch. The question is whether the post-apoc + zombies framing is helping or hurting. (Personally, I would bet on it might burst the bubble). The hook is genuinely interesting. The combination of post-apocalyptic scavenging and survival with a strong emphasis on making your van feel like a real home is distinctive, and the extra layer of piecing together stories from the dead adds some emotional texture that most pure cozy or pure survival games don’t usually have. It’s the kind of specific, personal premise that can work well in the pixel art indie space if it finds the right audience. I will keep an eye on your project. store.steampowered.com/app/4664840/In…
