@ToastmasterBSB John took over my desk at RMAS. I'd just come back from Afghan and warned him they were looking for people to go out and work on the UKLTT. I thought he was a top guy and couldn't believe it when the news came through. He is certainly one I will remember tomorrow.

@NormanF99621763 The Colours of the Royal Regiment of Artillery are its Guns or Guided Weapons. When on parade on Ceremonial occasions the Guns and Guided Weapons are to be accorded the same compliments as the Standards, Guidons and Colours of the Cavalry and Infantry.

These photos were taken in May of 2006. We gave these little girls shoes and hats and hope. They will be in their twenties now, I wonder what fate has in store for them? The political elite responsible for the failure of Afghanistan should hang their heads in shame.

@COLRICHARDKEMP Exactly V1s (and then V2s) were more powerful and we didn't have Iron Dome, so why make the comparison? Currently roughly 1 Hamas rocket in 250 kills an Israeli; what's the kill rate for IDF bombs?

@bealejonathan @jfwduffield @stumblingboots Err......luck has nothing to do with it. LE Officers are generally commissioned after a 22 year career, usually from WO1. They then work bloody hard and are promoted on merit. They qualify for promotion from Major to Lt Col with around 2 years to serve before retirement.
