When my grandfather died, we found his "working card"
If you weren't white (they didn't consider jews white), and you were on Miami Beach after dark, you better have a working card or you'd be arrested.

@StevenHerbert @CohenSite In 1949 when Florida legislature passed a law that officially ended discrimination in real estate across the state, including Miami Beach. Before that, Jewish folks were limited to buying south of 5th street.

In a funny incident in Thailand, a pet cat returned home after being missing for three days… but with a surprise “debt note” hanging from its neck! 😄
The cat came back well-fed and in great shape. Attached to its neck was a note that read:
“Your cat was staring at the mackerel at my stall, so I gave it three.
Auntie May – Alley No. 2.”
She also added her phone number so the owner could get in touch… and settle the debt 😂

He continued calling games for the Dodgers for a record-setting 67 years, longer than any broadcaster with a single team in professional sports history.
Vin passed away in August 2022.
His legacy lives on.
