🚨 TRIAL STARTS TODAY at the Old Bailey 🔥 The 3 Ukrainian rent boys — Roman Lavrynovych (21), Petro Pochynok (35) & Stanislav Carpiuc (27) — finally face jury over the arson attacks on Keir Starmer’s homes and car. They’ve all pleaded not guilty… but the rumours won’t go away. What really happened? 👀

BTW, the vote is now a “Win/Win” for Kemi Badenoch. Either Labour MPs refuse to refer Starmer. In which case they’re directly implicated in, and toxified by, the scandal. Or they vote to refer. And Starmer is brought down.

He was retrospectively fined after Met Police found he didn't host any parties that were outside the realms of his job, under pressure from Khan. Just as conveniently, his Durham gathering was not deemed a party (despite in fragrant breach of the rules) by the Labour PCC (who was present) & chief Constable who conveniently got an enhanced extended contract straight after

@scattysmum @DPJHodges Breaking his own Covid rules and having parties was in breach of his own Covid rules. The fact he was fined as such shows the police felt it sufficient.

There were bigger issues at stake when Boris Johnson was PM, but that didn't stop Starmer or the media focussing on cake & Pincher (who had been exonerated by Police ) Starmer was at the forefront of calling for Boris' resignation for much less than the deep corruption at the heart of Starmer & co

@DPJHodges 18 tweets up to this point today on nearly exactly the same topic. Rothermere must really be cracking the whip to get a result….

Tory sources tell me they have been careful up to this point not to been seen to be pressuring the Speaker, and that they have been allowing the procedures of the House to play out. But that they will now begin focussing forensically on the detailed case against Starmer.

The posts today are all about the three rent boys - but what’s happening to the two Manchester Airport police beating thugs? Is there a news blackout on ALL of them?

@DPJHodges @scattysmum It’s also a Win/Win for the electorate. We get to see who believes in accountable government and who puts the public interest ahead of party interests.

This should be interesting. So what was their motive❓
Liz Kershaw@LizKershawDJ

Lest we are expected to forget..... Three men go on trial at the Old Bailey on Monday 27th April, charged over a series of arson attacks on properties connected to #KeirStarmer last year. The defendants are a Ukrainian (21), a Ukrainian (34) and a Romanian (26) of Ukrainian origin. None has been granted bail. All three have been held in HMP Belmarsh since their arrests. All three have pleaded not guilty.

@DPJHodges Agreed. It’s because there isn’t a precise line, more a general ‘feeling’. Totally political with local elections round the corner, cynical and nasty from the nasty party. Not sure it really benefits anyone to carry this on and on.

One thing I would say. The difference between how Labour prosecuted their case against Boris over Partygate, and the Tories are targeting Starmer is significant. Labour were focussed, persistent and very skilful at precisely detailing the ways he mislead the House. The Tories are still all over the place. It's clear Shadow Ministers aren't sure themselves what the case is. They don't have a consistent line. It's all "everyone can see his mislead parliament". Rather than "on this date, at this time, he said x. When the truth was y".

Hannah Spencer hasn’t spoken in Parliament once since her maiden speech six weeks ago. A woman who claimed she’d already done more than some MPs will do in a year. She has no idea what “Westminster is really like”, she’s a NPC. Meanwhile the Green Party want to legalise drugs.

"You can smell the alcohol when people are in between votes." Green MP Hannah Spencer tells us what Westminster is REALLY like. The full interview is live on YouTube, and as a podcast here: linktr.ee/howtorebuildbr…

@mightyw What about producing factual examples of where he lied to the House, country or broke the Ministerial code. Is that allowed.

Starmer’s allies are claiming it has been categorically disproved that he mislead parliament. By my count there are 7 separate provable occasions where he knowingly mislead the House, the country or broke the Ministerial code over Peter Mandelson. I’ll list them in detail later.

@DPJHodges Dan. I appreciate that this will cut your tweets down by at least 75%, but with the geopolitical issues in the world, reductions in borrowing, improvements to NHS waiting times etc., does Mandy even really land as important? Your critique used to be more balanced. What changed?

@DanielGoldersUK @SarahForRuncorn Third one is landowners; and their IHT conditions are better than anyone elses. Second one was betrayed by successive governments and I don’t see Farage addressing it, what’s his stance on it? First one. If soldiers have broken the law (if) then they are not above the law ,
