People shouldn't be so angry with Human Rights Watch. They have serious budget issues, and I'm also told that no one told them about the massacre of 168 elementary school children in the Iranian city of Minab.
Human Rights Watch@hrw

NEW: The Iranian government has repeatedly used inherently indiscriminate cluster munitions delivered by ballistic missiles in attacks on Israel since February 28, 2026. At least four civilians have been killed in the strikes, which violate the laws of war and may amount to war crimes. Learn more: bit.ly/4m5Znno

NEW: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is conducting a campaign to recruit children as young as 12 to volunteer to become “homeland defending combatants.” The military recruitment and use of children is a grave violation of children’s rights and a war crime when the children are under 15.

@EylonALevy you have every right to fight hezbollah but no right to destroy nearly a million peoples homes. and dont use the weapons stach argument because most of the houses youd be flattening along the border dont have weapons, and keep hezbollah out, namely christian ones

If Mr Carney doesn’t want Israeli soldiers to disarm Hezbollah, and Lebanese soldiers don’t want to do it, he is welcome to send Canadian soldiers to fight Hezbollah themselves. Since he doesn’t want that, he should stop shielding Hezbollah and let Israel fight it.

🔴 #WATCH: Residents of the predominantly Christian southern villages of Rmeish, Debel, and Ain Ebel are growing increasingly anxious after security forces withdrew, police stations closed, and the Lebanese Armed Forces pulled out on Tuesday. In Rmeish, residents blocked roads to stop the withdrawal, vowing to stay despite rising fears over their safety and the region’s stability.

🇱🇧🇮🇷 Lebanon’s “invasion” by Iran is no longer subtle. The IRCG is literally in Lebanon. PM candidate Makhzoumi has raised serious concerns, submitting a formal question to the government after the Prime Minister’s statement regarding IRCG elements, allegedly holding forged Lebanese passports. The impact to Lebanon’s sovereignty and national security is impossible to understate. Question: Why isn’t the army being deployed appropriately to kick out the Iranian ambassador and regain Lebanon's sovereignty? It's one thing to debate the disarmament of Hezbollah as a military militia, but what excuse is there to delay the capture of IRCG members illegally in the country?

Schools should be focused on teaching kids how to think, not what to think. Classrooms must be an impartial learning environment that prioritize teaching fundamentals like reading, math and science and support students in developing their own opinions and views. Our students and educators need to be safe in the classroom. We will be strengthening the Education Act to protect them from incidents of violence and aggression with clear standards and expectations. School boards will be held accountable if those standards are not followed.

What we are looking at is what in tv is called “Camera B“. Camera A, the money shot, the one that had the new leader in the foreground, his team in the mid ground and his name onscreen in the background, is the only shot that matters and the choice of flag wasn’t an accident.

I agree, but that is not what the defence minister said. he said that they will be flattening every single village, essentially no home will be standing near the border, regardless of weapons staches. Completely out of line. Villages like Ain Ebel on the border have armed themselves and ensured that Hezbollah doesnt come near, theyve literally blocked off the entrances to the town. People like that who hold their dignity and hurt no one have no reason to lose their homes.

People are freaking out over the IDF’s plan to create a buffer zone up to the Litani River in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah called itself Lebanon’s savior. Then volunteered to enter the war, firing 3,000 rockets and missiles at Israeli civilians. No sane country would even tolerate even one. You do not negotiate with an ideology that worships martyrdom. The only thing that breaks fanatical movements is losing the ground they stand on. They chose this war. Repeatedly. Now Lebanon lives with the consequences. A man who wishes to die cannot be deterred. Only defeated. People tell me: “still, it’s not the way, you need to find another way.” I’m listening. What way exactly?

Hey @MarkJCarney, according to international law, Israel has the right to temporarily occupy territory for self-defense purposes. This isn’t arbitrary; it’s a measure taken for a clear purpose: to stop Hezbollah terrorists from indiscriminately attacking Israeli citizens. Why place blame on a country protecting its citizens instead of holding the actual aggressor, Hezbollah, who reignited this conflict by breaking the ceasefire, accountable?

🇱🇧🇮🇷 Unconfirmed reports suggest the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, you remember the one that refused to leave, was killed in an overnight airstrike on Beirut. Lebanon tried to expel him, but Iran refused to accede to their demands. Looks like the U.S or Israel may have lent a helping hand to send him on his way. Source: @MOSSADil

🇮🇱 From "Super-Sparta" to "Supernation": Netanyahu's two speeches reveal the blueprint behind the Iran war In September 2025, Netanyahu told an audience in Jerusalem that Israel would have to become "Athens and a super-Sparta," warning of growing isolation and the need for economic self-sufficiency and a domestic war economy. Six months later, in the middle of the Iran war, he dropped the sequel: "We are working on transforming Israel into a supernation in the region and globally." Connect the two and the picture is clearer. The first speech was the warning: Israel anticipated isolation, weapons embargoes, and diplomatic blowback. They knew what was coming because they were planning to cause it. The second speech was the declaration: the Iran war isn't a response to a threat. It's the vehicle for Israel's transformation into a self-sufficient regional hegemon that no longer needs permission from Washington, Brussels, or the UN to act unilaterally. Everything we've seen in the last month makes sense through this lens: Killing the Iranian officials Trump needed to negotiate with? Sparta doesn't need diplomacy. Bombing Iran's gas fields, steel plants, and nuclear sites during a U.S. negotiated pause? Sparta doesn't wait for permission. Expanding into southern Lebanon and claiming 10% permanently? Sparta doesn't ever give back territory. Proposing a Saudi-to-Mediterranean pipeline that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz? Athens builds the trade routes that make everyone else dependent on you. Netanyahu told the world exactly what he was going to do. Twice. And both times, everyone just dismissed it as rhetoric. Put simply: The Iran war was never about American security. It was about building an Israel that doesn't need America anymore, while using American money, American weapons, and American soldiers to get there. That's the "supernation" he's building.
