Having just seen someone lose control whilst changing lanes in dry conditions, I've never been more convinced that high powered cars should require a different driving licence.

@anon_opin When I was a youngster I heard Science Friction, I think on Magpie or a similar children's programme. At 61 I still remember the thrill hearing it gave me. It was easily the record that woke me up! Can't say I've followed them as such but this post has reignited something
XTC are, by a distance, the best band since the Beatles. Heirs apparent, in fact. Andy Partridge up there with the best songwriters in history. Their run of albums from Drums and Wire to Non-such the greatest of all time. Not one track below a 7/10
@stephenRB4 I recall a work colleague absolutely non plussed by the fact my Dad loved The Rolling Stones. He's the same age as them and he's been a fan for as long as they've been a band you effing idiot!!
The ageism on social media is wild! Most recently, a young woman saying that men aged 40 or above shouldn’t go to live music events because it’s ’weird’.
Really? Go fuck yourself. People, whatever their age, can enjoy whatever music they want to. And I’ll say nothing about the young folk prancing about in their Nirvana t-shirts who can’t name the bass player or name more than two songs off ‘Nevermind’.
@CommuterDreamer@anon_opin You should be getting some sort of bonus for covering the boss. We called it "stepping up bonus" in my place of work. I know HR are generally regarded as crap but I'd push this with them
