Patch on Skellingthorpe Road footpath completed and pre patch work to continue down Skellingthorpe Road footpath for this year. Followed by a footway micro-asphalt works in 2027.

Nightworks happening tomorrow night(20/03/26) from 5pm along the majority of Doddington Road. These works consist of pothole repairs and gully surround repairs. These works have to be done at night due to this being a restricted Network Rail site

We owe a debt of honour to the men and women who have served our country. This budget sets out clear plans to provide high-quality housing and long-term support for former Armed Forces personnel ensuring they are treated with the dignity, protection and pride they deserve. Alongside this, we are: 🏡 Working with partners to develop the blueprint and examine delivery options for the Veterans’ Village. 🏗 Exploring viability and business cases to ensure it is sustainable and properly supported. 🚌 Introducing a new Veterans Bus Card to improve access to transport and essential services across Greater Lincolnshire. This is about more than housing. It is about creating a supportive community for veterans most in need providing stability, connection and opportunity after service. I am committed to putting our heroes first.

I went out this afternoon to check drains and potholes. Pleased to say Rookery lane at the end of Newark Road has been all cleaned out. I have also reported 3 other blocked drains on ST Peters Avenue, Blackbourn Road and Prial Avenue, with potholes, and uneven footpaths from tree roots, also on Kenilworth Drive have reported the grit box to be emptied and refreshed.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Reform UK Lincolnshire County Council just voted to Freeze Councillor Allowances this year, because of the cost of living crisis that Lincolnshire residents are currently facing. An independent board recommended a 13% rise in Full Council papers, however Reform UK LCC leadership sent an amendment to opposition leaders the next day, proposing we instead freeze councillor allowances. Lincolnshire County Council is getting @reformparty_uk!

Today I visited Stags Head Pub Lincoln with Andrea and the team talking to the landlord about the pressure they are facing, from beer duty to long planning applications for licenses, and how average pubs make 12p per beer. 🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 EXTRA £4 MILLION specifically for POTHOLES & DRAINAGE for 2026/27! Reform UK led Lincolnshire County Council have committed £2 million towards Pothole Repairs! A big part of that is efficiency—if we’re already out there fixing one pothole, it makes the most sense to take care of the one right next to it so we aren't doubling back later! The other £2 million is dedicated to Highways Gully Cleaning, preventing highways and property flooding! Lincolnshire Country Council is getting @reformparty_uk! #ReformUK

I am at the Bentley Hotel today, and have to say fantastic turnout from residents engaging in talks about North Hykeham Relief Road. When completed this will unlock land for 4,500 homes and seven hectares of employment space. It will also bring £350 million in economic benefits to #Lincolnshire over the next sixty years.
