Liberation does not come as a gift from anybody; it is seized by the masses with their own hands. - Frantz Fanon

Fuck tamil eelam

Our favorite Tamil liberal once again repeats himself like a broken record, despite his claims having been debunked multiple times by several users. Neelan’s proposals were insufficient to address even the basic issues and aspirations of Eelam Tamils, offering nothing more than breadcrumbs. Eelam Tamils and the LTTE sought a solution to the national question based on the Thimpu principles, a fact Neelan was well aware of, as his party was even a member of that initiative. His proposals didn’t even qualify as federalism. The LTTE was well within its rights to refuse negotiations with an unserious government that was not sincere about lifting the embargo, allowing essential goods, or halting preparations for a military invasion into the Jaffna peninsula. The LTTE had repeatedly expressed openness to alternative solutions, as long as they adhered to the Thimpu principles. Unlike Neelan, the LTTE stood with their people and respected their desire for a separate state. Neelan, on the other hand, never even consulted the Tamil people on whether they supported his watered-down proposal, which couldn’t have been implemented anyway. The LTTE ended the taxation of Muslims in their territories, which was one of the grievances raised. If the LTTE’s ISGA (Interim Self Governing Authority) proposal had gone through, the LTTE could have facilitated the resettlement of Muslims into their areas. However, the LTTE was not even able to resettle displaced Tamil families due to the ongoing war. The LTTE also provided extensive relief to Muslim communities during the 2004 tsunami, this is well-documented. Most Muslims were understandably hesitant to resettle, as the Vanni region — under LTTE control, remained a war zone. It’s also important to acknowledge that the Muslim community had, participated in ethnic cleansing and massacres of Tamils in the East, burning down entire Tamil villages. To this day, no formal apology has been made. If Muslims remain unable to resettle nearly 16 years later, that is not due to the Tamils or the now-defunct LTTE, it is the responsibility of the Sri Lankan government. In liberation struggles, especially under conditions of asymmetrical warfare and occupation, oppressed people are within their rights to defend themselves by any means necessary, including suicide bombing or the use of juveniles. Regarding child soldiers: no one denies that the LTTE used them. Prabhakaran himself was a child soldier. However, the numbers cited in Jo Becker’s reports, and even by UNICEF ,are exaggerated. Children as young as four in orphanages were wrongly counted as “child soldiers.” There was even a 17-year-old driver killed in an airstrike who was listed as a child soldier, despite simply being a driver. N. Malathy, who worked extensively on this issue, has written in detail in her book A Fleeting Moment in My Country. NESOHR also provided a documented response to Human Rights Watch on this matter. It’s not that Tamils aren’t aware of the crimes that occurred, it’s that they’re smart enough to distinguish between the crimes of the oppressor and those of the oppressed. Stateless and oppressed people have historically included everyone in their liberation struggle because they simply don’t have the resources or luxury to exclude anyone. Secondly, the most disgusting thing about you, apart from your face — is your selective outrage. You’re quick to recognize the genocide currently happening to Palestinians, but you flat-out refuse to acknowledge the genocide of the Eelam Tamils. So much for your so, called commitment to human rights. sangam.org/nesohr-respond…

What is fascinating here is that Pitasanna Shanmugathas @pitasanna is responding to a message of a sock puppet account that carries a derogative term "වෙට්ට පාසි" (Vetta Paasi) which is a clever way of bypassing the another term "පට්ට වේ*" plus the words "v*le b**ch". #Misogny
