The red-blue button experiment is occurring. The aliens running it single you out and inform you that blue is going to fail 49-51. However, they are offering you a chance to push a green button and make it so all who pressed blue live and all who pressed red die. Do you push it?

You're a parent. All parents have to take a private vote, pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% press the blue button, all children survive. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only the children of red button pressers survive. What do you press?

The people arguing for blue deserve to die

I was initially a red button guy. Seems like the obvious, more intelligent choice. Everyone in control of their own lives. No one needs to die, just press red However there have been so many people arguing blue that it in turn makes them correct. Way too many people are going to push blue regardless so therefore blue becomes the correct answer

@Mayzomatic I was thinking about it too. I was siding with red until I realized that if Blue survives. They have already shown violent intent in the X chats to those who choose red. So choosing red might actually result in 42% of people dying to a hate mob.

It’s simple to me. If you believe 100% of people will pick red, pick red. If you believe even 1 person will pick blue, you should pick blue. I think >50% will know the second is the actual reality and they’ll pick blue.

Just FYI blue votes think the question is “would you put your life at risk to save the lives of others?”. They genuinely lack the intellectual capacity to comprehend what it’s actually asking.
