If this unfolds in short order, the entire PR machine that has been attempting to sell the world that the Iranian Regime was taking it to Uncle Sam and that we'd be stuck in a quagmire of a 'forever war' will die a deserved/instantaneous death. This will prove to be a rather painful turn of events for the left, both here and abroad, because Trump (and America) will receive the lion's share of the praise that will be heaped upon them/us. But the left won't be happy for the Iranian public b/c they'll be fuming over being forced to watch as tens of millions of Iranians pour out onto the streets nationwide, celebrating wildly. Think about the optics involved.

I've had a project in the works for a bit now. Today I'm launching a new YouTube channel. The channel is High Low Brow. Its name comes from literary critic William Morris, who used the term to describe *my* fiction (I'm not saying he coined the term for me, I'm saying this is where I first heard it). It means popular art that low brow in form, e.g. genre fiction, but contains elevating elements. I've heard Neal Stephenson describe novels in this space as rollicking adventure tales that also contain big ideas. So on High Low Brow, I'll be talking about the books, music, TV shows, graphic novels, and visual art that I like. I'll interview people who make that art and people who like. High Low Brow. Because culture matters, and I also want to have fun. (links in the replies)

Terri was just 26 years old in 1990 when she suddenly collapsed at home with her husband, Michael Schiavo, for reasons that remain unknown. She had no terminal illness, was not on life-support machines, and was not ‘brain dead.’ With basic care, including a feeding tube necessitated by her swallowing difficulties, Terri could have lived a normal lifespan. Same. For most of my adult life, I listened to NPR on my commute in and back. As I chronicled here over the years, by the end of the last decade, it became unlistenable due to its spoof-proof bias and narrow focus. The top of the hour news summary was redundant.

For those interested (and you should all be interested, since it affects you), I have always suggested Baqer Moin's "Khomeini: Life of the Ayatollah." This is the best full-length biography of Khomeini, and was published in 1999. Moin was a former Iranian seminarian and provides a great amount of detail and insight on the psychology of Khomeini and revolutionary Iran.

I have a theory that this MAGA exodus was planned the day Trump won. The Epstein files have proven to be anticlimactic (what has been released certainly doesn’t warrant the reaction) and the defections began well before the attack on Iran. None of their excuses make sense.
