Texas State officials have informed men’s basketball coach Terrence Johnson that he’ll return next year, AD Don Coryell told ESPN. Texas State won eight of 10 games to close the season, finishing 19-13 and tied for second in the Sun Belt. Texas State enters the Pac-12 next year.

TXST told the Pac it was “getting serious about bball.” If that was real, @KDamp can’t run it back with TJ. The program has underachieved for years, DJ Hall is transferring, and the Pac isn’t the SBC. Time to prove that pitch wasn’t just talk. TJ is NOT the guy & never has been.

I’ll give a much longer answer at the end of season but here is a quick summary. Out of all the TXST teams competing in the Pac-12, I’m more concerned about MBB. The top half of the Pac-12 will treat you like Marty Jannetty and throw you into the barber shop window over and over

All I want for Christmas is a decent basketball coach. Our JUCO-obsessed HC is not cut out for division 1 CBB and never has been. We’re about to head to a significantly more difficult conference, and we seemingly regress yearly. We have to rip off the bandaid @kdamp 🙏
