A referendum can only be held if the law dictates that rather than because of political sentiments. Absent a specific provision mandating its necessity, the call for such a vote lacks justification. It is untenable to initiate a referendum solely based on the opinions of a particular faction.

Team J, one of the eleven teams deployed across the country to gather public views on the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (#CAB3), is now at its second venue for the day, Nketa Hall in Nketa 8 suburb.

These engagements are key to ensuring that citizens are actively involved in the law-making process, providing input that will help shape the final outcome of the proposed constitutional amendment.
