What became many’s favorite game was the point of no return for some. Surely, you’d take issue with them saying re4 isn’t “real” resident evil

If 7 failed then we wouldn't have a game that sold 5 million copies in 5 days because it was so highly anticipated. I'm not even a huge fan of 7-8 but i can recognize this lol

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s not resident evil 🤷‍♂️ . Capcom experimenting is what makes them good

@lovelycasstle @BluerRazz62 Re5 was a success. Not sure where you got that from. Also, RE spinoff games never do well. That’s just a capcom special. So again, re6 was the only flop. I’m not saying the new formula isn’t successful. I’m saying you’re vastly overstating the dramatics of the situation

@TechTonicss @BluerRazz62 They mentioned several consecutive projects that did not meet their expectations (Rev 1 & 2, RE5, RE6, etc) thus a full on reboot like Biohazard. Internally 6 is the game that finally made them make a big change. And it worked out cause RE is literaly the biggest it’s been.

@crotfs If you’re on casual and you get to RPD by the 3rd hour you’re fine. The rest of the game takes 52 minutes. I know because I did it in 3 hrs and 54 minutes and got to RPD at 3 hrs and 2 minutes.

@leonscardio Use bonus weapons. Otherwise you have to do speed running strats to do it normally. Blister heads take more than 30 bullets with a 3x boosted grace with charms. Ammo is scarce

@TechTonicss @Rukix33 Re 7 was a fresh start but I think the remakes did save the franchise, I loved Resident Evil as kid but skipped Re 7 bcuz it just didnt seem like RE to me. The remakes are the reason why I started buying new mainline games again

Now in terms of praise, it’s the second lowest rated re in the reboot timeline only beating R3make. It was good, but it did not save the series. Re2 remake & village deserve that moniker more
