@lporiginalg Ive had a pit bull, and they were the sweetest dog I've ever owned. Ive also owned a golden (a rescue), and I could not have her around any other dog or person because of how agro she was. Dogs have their own personalities that aren't tied to the breed, but how they are raised.

@JonahDispatch Just don’t put all dogs on the same category! And don’t forget about misanthropes!

I am probably going to write about the BBC broadside against dogs and dog-ownership. But it's worth remembering that one of the oldest rules in journalism --predating social media by a century - is that dogs, anti-and pro-dog sentiment, is great for circulation or "virality." That said, screw the BBC and their anti-dog propaganda.

This Woman loved her XL Bullies She rescued them, fed them, cared for them. In response they chewed off her hand. The XL Bully is a proven killer. It is vastly too dangerous to be a family pet. edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/edinburgh…

@lporiginalg I see your point but dogs are not responsible for their actions, their owners are.

Great to read an in-depth piece about the reality of the XL Bully. Any XL Bully can flip, without warning or reason, and attacks can be fatal Great to read about the views of those who know the reality of this killer breed inside out. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@BBCNews Why they never mentioned that the owner of the dog was her cousin, who was part of several dog trainers groups and also anti-ban, considering herself a responsible owner?

Restoring Your Faith in Humanity
She Took 40 Bites To Save a Baby’s Life Felicia Hambrick is being hailed as a hero after risking her own life to protect a baby from a vicious dog attack. While babysitting her friend’s three children, the family’s pit bull suddenly lunged at her. Felicia grabbed the eight-month-old baby girl and used her own body as a shield. The baby was unharmed but Felicia was bitten 40 times on her neck, arms, legs, and stomach. She required 94 staples and spent 5 days in the hospital recovering from her injuries. “I remember it hurting so bad I was screaming, ‘God, please let me die!’” she recalled. The dog has since been put down, and the family says they will never forget her sacrifice. Felicia may have scars, but she also has a new title: hero. Thumbs up for this incredible act of selflessness ❤️👏
