So sorry it happend to you and your colleagues. If there is a "next principal" in your career future, I hope they are a good one.

@edtechmathteach Science TOTY/PAEMST awardee. Pushed out. My science department colleagues and I were told (by principal) "we think we know everything, we should be willing to learn new things (from him)" WE were working on the cutting edge of science education research with university partners.

We need to start listening. When a former teacher of the year is on leave & thinking of leaving education, something is really freaking wrong & the powers that be need to do something or else public education as we know it will be dead...and soon. #teachertwitter

@TerryContant I taught MS and HS students - They'd been used to getting the right answer for years! My favorite part of the year was always when students started telling each other "she's not going to answer that question, we need to figure it out!" =). #NGSSchat

@TerryContant My students who were new the process of building science ideas from evidence struggled with the lack of "right or wrong" answer as we got started. It took time, but when they got to a point where they build knowledge themselves, it was worth it! #NGSSchat
