@danta5555 @cerny @jackhuynh @AMD Its still slop and most devs are against it. So are most gamers. It is going to kill creativity. Games don't need to be hyper realistic. People game to escape reality, not live in an alternate version of it. There is no good that will come out of it.

@ThatGenericEric @cerny @jackhuynh @AMD Will see how it goes. The tech is new. I believe the tech could be similar to graphics mods & better. Now, they are aiming for reality. They could try to aim to any look. Or use it to get similar results like path tracing or anything for that matter. Potential is unlimited.

Just tried FSR Upscaling 4.1 in a few PC games. It’s based on the same neural network as the upgraded PSSR we released for PS5 Pro… and it looks stunning! Wonderful working with @jackhuynh and the @AMD team as we collaborate on AI graphics tech. Big win for Project Amethyst :-)

Crimson Desert on PS5 Pro. FPS is visibly very inconsistent in the first town. It was worse on the base PS5. Imagine this in a fortress or castle with 15-20 enemies to fight. Lots of NPCs just tanks performance. This is why they were selective and weird with console footage.

@PlanetRunsGames I'm straight up against Game Pass. Or more like the customer's who abuse it. Renting is fine. If you like the game, buy it and support the devs directly. Most people on GP use it like it's their own personal libraries and don't support the devs.

I got GamePass years ago just before the Gears 5 launch, and at the time it was the first Gears I hadn’t just bought right… fast forward to the 30 bucks moment and I was just like you know what, I end up buying VIP extra stuff for Forza and such anyways. Dropped to essential. No regrets, I don’t miss it at all, I think I’m ultimately just a person who would rather build my library at my pace than be in there sampling stuff. It is what it is, you know, and if it is super fulfilling for value situations for folks, cool, but it’s just not for me anymore. And I say that as a longtime Xbox player. I do like how the subscription services amplify some of the indies for folks, but I kind of want to say that if it were transformed into an XBLA thing and not a mainline games thing, maybe I’d be more interested? - for less than $30/per? 🫡 (Just some thoughts sorry went long there)—

This dumb shit clearly lacking any actual "logiq". Shits on PSSR2, an actual upscaler that actually sharpens and cleans up images. DLSS5, an actual ai slop filter, designed to ruin artistic intent, requiring 2 5090's, is a nothing burger.

Maybe it's just me, but the graphics in Crimson Desert are a fucking mess. Quality mode in DF's HDR video has artifacts EVERYWHERE and the faster the motion, the more artifacts I am seeing. Confirmed its without PSSR2. I want to see balanced mode with PSSR2 because this ain't it.
