Today is my 3rd anniversary of owning my Lucid Air Touring! 2025 was certainly an interesting year for this poor car, including a HV battery pack replacement and AC compressor disaster within 5 months of each other, but some good adventures were had, as well.

Last month, I shared a bit here about how my 17-year-old son has a passion for video game development and has spent hundreds of hours over the last 9 months creating his first game for release. Well, I want to let you know that Nitro Turtles is now out! It's a party racing game (kind of like Mario Kart) and has 9 courses, a speedrun mode with online leaderboards, and split screen/online multiplayer. My husband and I played all 9 courses against each other last night and IT WAS SO FUN! I'm so proud of him for the accomplishment. He has a really demanding junior year schedule of AP/Dual Credit/Honors classes, has straight As, and somehow managed to develop this all on his own out of pure passion. He started teaching himself programming in 3rd grade and just developed his skills from there. Nitro Turtles in the culmination of all the subsequent years of self-driven learning. Lucid has limited service centers. They try to position themselves like a luxury top tier automaker, but their cars have not been particularly reliable thus far. Yet they're more expensive than most competitors, and their ADAS and software is much worse. So how will it compete? Not very well at all would be my guess, unless they drop this thing to about $30K and way undercut everyone in the class or pull some other crazy rabbits out of their hat.

How do you think the Cosmos will do competing against R2 & Model Y?

So I decided to factory reset/erase my beloved 12” MacBook (early 2015) just to get a clean install of the last version of macOS 11.7.11 Big Sur that it supports Big mistake. Apps that used to run (like Final Cut Pro) can’t even be redownloaded from the App Store anymore because Apple requires macOS 15 or later. That’s right: Software that I paid $300 for back in 2020 (see second image with date of purchase) that ran on this little machine (yes, I edited 4K iPhone footage on it during major events like CES, MWC, and IFA back in the day) just straight up doesn’t install anymore. Apple doesn’t even let me install the last compatible version anymore. There’s nothing wrong with my 12” MacBook. It should run all the software that used to work on it. Kinda fucked up and very anti-consumer

I understand the hype behind the MacBook Neo but seriously unless you are doing basic computing just get an Air/Pro. Investing $600 into an 8GB 256GB iPhone laptop might leave you wanting more. The price is right though and these will sell like crazy. Apple wins again 🫡

@TheAppleCore @brandenflasch Nick, not BB they are an Apple Partner and the lead service partner. They can’t use non Apple parts. I am also an Apple partner and can’t use non Apple parts for repair or upgrade. Those guys that are third party are just pickers. They use non Apple parts all the time.

For the average user, having a new Neo would be better
