@Gatsby0634896 @jewelzaid1998 It wasn't they were forbidden, but that they did want to give Fox any new movie material. Foxhad the rights to use any mutant, new or old in their movies. Marvel was in a missing match with Fox so it was more of a spite thing vs a legal prevention.

@JamesSurowiecki @FXRegan The exclusion of “Indians not taxed” is clearly saying only people who contribute to the costs of government should be counted. That’s entirely logical. By the same logic legal immigrants who are taxed should be included, illegal immigrants, who are not, should not be counted.

The apportionment clause of the Constitution explicitly says that congressional seats should be apportioned by "counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed." It does not say "the whole number of citizens."

Prior to the release of the Prequel Trilogy (1999–2005), the Star Wars Expanded Universe (EU)—now known as Legends—had spent nearly a decade building a galactic history based on vague lines from the Original Trilogy. When George Lucas created the Prequels, he largely ignored this established EU history, creating major contradictions. The most significant ones between EU novels and Prequel films include: 1. The Timeline and Nature of the Clone Wars The biggest contradiction concerns the "Clone Wars," mentioned only in passing in A New Hope. EU Version (Pre-1999): Authors like Timothy Zahn assumed the Clone Wars occurred 35–40 years before A New Hope (around 50s BBY). "Clone Masters"—mad geneticists—unleashed unstable clones against the Republic, with the Republic and Jedi fighting the clones. This explains why characters like Pellaeon viewed clones with suspicion or disgust. Prequel Version: Lucas set the war ending just 19 years before A New Hope and reversed the sides: the Republic used clones as its army (Grand Army of the Republic) against Separatist droids, not "Clone Masters." 2. Boba Fett’s Identity and Backstory Boba Fett's EU backstory was completely overwritten by Attack of the Clones. EU Version: Stories like The Last One Standing (1996) established Boba Fett as Jaster Mereel, a Journeyman Protector from Concord Dawn exiled for killing a corrupt superior. He was an ordinary human, not a clone. Prequel Version: Attack of the Clones revealed Boba as an unaltered clone of Jango Fett, raised as his son on Kamino. Retcon Attempt: Later EU novels (by Karen Traviss) explained Jaster Mereel as Jango’s mentor, with Boba using the name as an alias to honor him. 3. Jedi Rules on Marriage and Attachment The Prequel-era Jedi's strict monastic rules surprised EU readers, as earlier stories showed a different Order. EU Version: In Old Republic-era tales (like Tales of the Jedi), Jedi could marry and have families, with no ban on attachment. Characters like Nomi Sunrider were Jedi mothers, and Force sensitivity often ran in families. Prequel Version: The Prequels forbade attachment and marriage, making Anakin’s secret marriage to Padmé a central plot point absent from prior lore. 4. The Timeline of the Jedi Purge EU Version: Before Episode III, the "Great Jedi Purge" was seen as a prolonged hunt lasting years or decades after the Empire's rise, with Vader and the Emperor tracking Jedi individually or in small groups. Prequel Version: Revenge of the Sith made most of the Purge a single event—Order 66—killing thousands of Jedi in minutes via their own troops (though Vader later hunted survivors). 5. The "Way" of the Mandalorians EU Version: Before the Prequels and The Clone Wars series (heavily influenced by Lucas), Mandalorians were a warrior culture of mercenaries and nomads in armor, following a strict code. Prequel/TCW Version: Lucas introduced "New Mandalorians"—pacifists rejecting violence, living in glass cities on Mandalore. This clashed with lore, forcing EU authors to explain them as one faction while true warriors lived in exile.
