I said something similar. The idea is brilliant only if the actors and crew will collect a stipend for logistics and hope to get paid based on how the movie performs. You cannot charge me a premium to act on my set, without recourse to whether the movie makes it or not. Then the movie makes it and you're wetting your appetite to share profit from where you did not sow. Only stakeholders share from profits. You're a stakeholder only if you invested. But if you charged according to your rates and you were paid, please keep mute if and when the movie makes a hit. Out of 10 movies, maybe only 1 makes a hit. The loss and investment of the other movies that went down the drain, who vmcovers for it? Actors and crews are not bothered about numbers when the movie doesn't perform; they only wet appetite when the movie succeeds. This isn't fair.

I agree jare. I think the association should also implement a law that when a producer makes loses on a project, all the actors and crew come together to contribute to cover the losses incurred. May be for actors, you can contribute by how many scenes you featured in so the leads pay the most and then day players and extras pay the least. For crew, it can be by seniority.
