@TheReelFake

Indeed, I am perhaps the most guilty of all, and the worst of all men in the world as well.

@odd0racle7 @GodstimeAtas This ushered in the last true Egyptian dynasty, which lasted until Persian conquest. The people that are Egyptian now, are the same people that they were back then.

@odd0racle7 @GodstimeAtas Ancient Egypt wasn't Black. The 25th Dynasty was black when the Nubians invaded and conquered ancient Egypt. That makes for about 5 pharaohs. However this was mostly the ruling class, and not the people as a whole. The rulers were still Nubian. They were eventually defeated.

@vonshoon @ayeejuju It is Point Nemo, the furthest location on earth from any human traffic. You are closer to the ISS, then you are to civilization.

@TLTM32 It is a confit chicken. A chicken rendered and stored canned in its own fat to preserve it. You don't eat it that way, you finish it in the oven. Most Americans have never eaten chicken this way. But I have put up and canned chicken in a similar manner.

@lisafrankenstan @FGD1092 @alatus_l0v In all honesty, I just use Mary Sue to describe Male characters of a similar archetype, mostly the gender doesn't matter, and it's more the context. For example just because I call something a "red herring" doesn't mean I'm calling it a fish.

@FGD1092 @alatus_l0v doesn’t negate the fact that it isn’t as common as a complaint to hear compared to mary sue. the article even highlights how terms like “murray sue” to “marty sue” were thrown asfounf but didn’t quite catch on as much compared to mary sue

@SVeale90630 @Monica55dzrh You can rinse it with cold water after straining it to stop the cooking process. I do this quite often with angel hair, because I prefer my pasta al denta. And it's really easy to overcook thin pasta into a soft mess.

@Monica55dzrh You don't need to rinse pasta at any stage, either prior to cooking, or after. It's mostly flour. Rinsing it sounds really odd actually.

@0takusociety Have you ever read a western romance novel? It's no different, all these tropes are fake as hell. I don't really see any difference between romantic relationships in novels or in anime, they're all dumb.

@CatHistori @DanielloLobo @LibOrNormal Well first you have to have a child reach an age, past the fetus stage for these statistics to count. So yes statistically for white people have higher numbers when it comes to infantile deaths as defined

@Atomsmade Yes, the Council of Clermont. Look up why the Crusades were called to arms.

Stop rewriting history. The Crusades were holy wars launched with explicit religious motivation, "Deus Vult" (God wills it). They involved conquest, forced conversions, massacres of Jews and Muslims, and the establishment of Christian kingdoms in the Middle East. Yes, there were provocations and retaliation on both sides, but pretending it was purely defensive is pure cope. Your religion has a long history of using violence to spread. Own it.

@Atomsmade The reality is that history is messy. Faith and politics rarely mix. Those that stayed true to faith, died quite often for it. "The Prince " by Machiavelli should give you a good idea how the crown utilized "Christianity" as a tool for power, but seldom practiced its teachings.

It spread through persuasion in the early days, then through Roman political power, and later through centuries of conquest, colonization, slavery, forced conversions, crusades, and inquisitions. You don't get to cherry-pick the peaceful parts and pretend the blood didn't happen. Your religion's history is messy as fuck. Own it.

@Atomsmade Colonization and Slavery, was part of an Imperialist movement, also heavily in opposition to a majority of the church. It was the church that pushed for the Abolishment of slavery, and once again many people that opposed these positions by the crowns of Europe died for it.
