Most attention has been around the points not representing an airdrop
This was a tough call but it could be good longterm:
- A guaranteed allocation to the ICO means every participant has skin in the game, thus more interest in the token
- Most launches in the last 2 years have been forever tainted by day 1 crashes, this could've played into the decision of using points for a guaranteed allocation into the ICO
- The R/R of buying the ICO is great, so the odds of people being happy are high
- A lot of people with points are now inactive or will forget to participate in the ICO, so you may be able to get a bigger allocation (not sure how this will work in the end, just speculating)

L take. They got seeded 20m$ through blast gold, raised more from VCs and barely delivered anything meaningful in the past year. Just kept players investing in the game under the guise of fantasy points.
Obviously players are going to be upset. Reducing actual players to "airdrop farmers" now is even lower and not something I would expect from you but you go off king

Airdrop farmers angry that Fantasy Top isn’t launching a token.
The easy option is TGE, reward airdrop farmers, and exit. Team could retire.
This is the playbook of absolute majority of projects: Friend Tech being the biggest grift.
Fantasy top team made the honorable, hard choice.
No PMF = No token.
People farmed points for years and feel betrayed, calling it a rug.
Playing the game just for airdrop is exactly why @hosseeb called farmers not useful to projects.
As I said, airdrop farmers are 'highly paid QA professionals' who give feedback that the team could improve on.
That's exactly what's happening for Fantasy Top.
Forcing a TGE into an unprofitable system would've killed the game and reputation instantly. That’s the real rug.
The team still has treasury, revenue, and room to rebuild.
Having a down-only token would take energy and attention from the game towards the token.

Another interesting stablecoin project is @capapp
(part of the MegaETH ecosystem).
Simple gameplay: Stake ETH mainnet USDC to mint stablecoins:
• cUSD: payment stablecoin, redeemable 1:1 for a basket of regulated dollar assets (USDC, PYUSD, BUIDL, etc.) in Cap’s Stablecoin Network.
• stcUSD: stake cUSD to earn operator-driven yield that’s covered by restakers via EigenLayer/Symbiotic.
cUSD will earn you 10x caps (their points program) or even 20x for LP/YTcUSD on Pendle. stcUSD will earn 5x caps for LP/YTstcUSD.
YT stcUSD seems like an interesting strategy here, it only gives a 5x multiplier while cUSD gives 20x but at the current APY you recover 70%+ of your assets and if the underlying yield rises even more.
Furthermore using @capapp may make you eligible for @megaeth airdrop.

Seeing a lot of risk management posts popping up today. Obviously this always happens after an event like yesterdays, never before.
99% of people should just never touch leverage. And if you are borrowing/lending in Defi, only borrow against BTC/ETH and never more than 50%.
I believe we probably will still go a leg lower over the course of next week unless Trump publicly changes his mind. I'm just going to keep chilling in spot and farming airdrops.

Umbra (@UmbraPrivacy) is doing a ICO style raise on MetaDao. It's powered by @arcium privacy network and enables private transfers/swaps on Solana. Given the pump of Zcash this week this looks very juicy. However the round is already heavily oversubscribed. Still if you have some liquidity this looks like an easy win. metadao.fi/projects/umbra…

He lost everyone money (unsurprisingly). Not to sound passive aggressive but he’ll probably lose your money this time too
In fact I barely remember interacting with him bc he was so insignificant and one of my minions had to remind me this even happened
His girl was texting me non stop for months but I kept ghosting her. At some point I might get in touch with her especially if she hits the gym
As for his current venture - I am pretty sure we don’t have a stake in it. We might. If we did it’s probably not even on my radar
Regardless, we support all builders and I am definitely not thinking about this competitor 24/7 and actively plotting his destruction
