Birth certificate and marriage license are what are needed to update your SS records after you are married to change your name. Birth certificate shows where you were born. Your marriage certificate contains both your maiden name (which should match your birth certificate), and of course your new married name, thus, creating your ID paper trail.

A birth certificate AND your marriage license. If you changed your name after you got married, like the First Lady, the 'SAVE America Act' will demand you provide BOTH documents in order to prove your identity and vote in the next election if you don’t have a passport.

Any name changes are documented with marriage certificates or court documents, not birth certificate. If you changed your name when you got married, take notice.    Under the SAVE Act, your driver’s license wouldn’t be enough to vote. You’d need a birth certificate that matches your current legal name. Most women who changed their name at marriage don’t have that. And getting it costs money you shouldn’t have to spend just to cast a ballot.    Republicans aren’t targeting noncitizens. They’re targeting you.

If every American voter, without a passport, decided to get a passport, as their primary form of ID, it would take 5 years to fill the requests. But Republicans want this to be in effect before the midterms. They know this, of course, so it’s obvious voter suppression.

Not because of politics or opinions, but because of how easily people jump to extremes without even pausing to understand the full story. A life, a situation, a moment… reduced to one clip and suddenly everyone is judge, jury, and executioner. Justice isn’t supposed to come from rage. It’s supposed to come from truth, from accountability, from something deeper than anger. The scariest part isn’t what happened in the video… it’s how quickly people decide someone deserves to die. If that becomes normal, then honestly… we all should be worried.
