@DechampsAlan @normsworld @NoJetsTO Discussion on the future of the airport must focus on what is best for the city as a whole, not simply what is best for PortsToronto or the airlines. The first question to answer should be “What is the role of the airport?”.
English

@normsworld The first issue that must be addressed is to define the role of the airport and the role it plays in the context of other airports in the GTA.

Thoroughly impressed with this thoughtful and detailed city staff report which includes a call to kickoff meaningful consultation with Torontonians around the island airport. We cannot rush this. #topoli #cdnpoli

Terrible customer service from @BMO Mastercard. It should focus more on Human Intelligence than Artificial Intelligence.
English

@NoJetsTO There are registered zoning regulations in place now to ensure safe operations of the airport. Any development that complies with the regs is permitted from an aviation perspective.

We were warning about this back in 2015. The impact is even worse with jets. The island airport should not hold back our ability to house people. #topoli #cdnpoli

Porter Airlines, NAV Canada and Ports Toronto have now written letters asking council to defer Villiers Island item to allow for more analysis of whether tall buildings will impact operations at the island airport. City staff say there’s no impact, but major players unconvinced.

@georgebell Bettman would put a team in Rubber Boot Arkansas before having one in Quebec or a second team in the GTA. His focus is expansion in the US not Canada.

@TorontoStar You could say the Bruins hit a stone Woll or were stoneWolled.

With a flair for the dramatic, Maple Leafs push Bruins to the limit.
A commanding 3-1 series lead has stunningly dissolved for Boston. Suddenly, it’s Toronto riding a wave of momentum heading into Game 7 on Saturday night. #Opinion trib.al/8JYNvSb

Prime Minister Wacko has given us so many brilliant quotes and utterances since he assumed office.
I felt it was my civic duty to compile a couple dozen of them in a book to immortalize his wisdom for the ages.

@progresstoronto @normsworld @torontolabour There needs to be protest free routes that are enforced to enable uninhibited access to hospitals from all directions.

@maxfawcett @gmacofglebe It would be nice if he detailed his plan for fixing the things he feels are broken.

Pierre Poilievre loves to talk about how the country is "broken". So why isn't he calling out the Conservative premiers who are actively and deliberately breaking it? #cdnpoli nationalobserver.com/2024/02/01/opi…

@TheoMoudakis @TorontoStar No editorial could make the point as effectively as this cartoon. Is your blocking finger loosened up and ready to swing into action?

@HewittJSB Does your visit also include a stroll by the Cathedral? I was a choir boy there in the late ‘50s and have wonderful memories of that period in my life. I always walk by the church when I am in Ottawa.
English

When in hometown Ottawa I go to bed with photos of 2 composers on the walls: #OlivierMessiaen (who was on the jury of 1985 Bach Competition I won along with wife Loriod) and Sir #PeterMaxwellDavies when I played in Orkney Islands in 2003. Nice memories. It's the AH museum here.

English

@HewittJSB Maybe they thought it was a inferior brand and not a Fazioli.

@Billius27 Adding numbers to the peaks and most recent point adds to the utility of an already useful graph. For reference could you also label the low points? There is a dramatic increase between the low point in the summer and today.
