Aurora's in the mid latitudes still on the table tonight. Lets see what we can pull out of this. The most southward extent will depend on the strength of substorms tonight. pettusplots.com/aurora.html

Conditions are becoming favorable for mid latitude aurora visibility as we had a CME impact. As of now, Bz is leaning negative, density and solar winds are elevated, and Bt/By looks good as well. Watching closely, lets see if we can hold good trends. pettusplots.com/aurora.html

A level 1/5 risk is in place from the Storm Prediction Center for the area on Saturday. At this time, the most favored area for severe weather is southwest of the Tri-Cities for places like Greeneville, Sevierville, and Knoxville into the Carolinas, but we will be on watch for the entire area. Hail upwards of 1” in diameter will be the primary risk with isolated severe storms (again favoring west of the Tri-Cities at this time).

Glenn Beck said exactly what so many of us are feeling. Can you stop with the “Charlie’s last words to me were” … fill in the blank. Charlie spent years saying exactly what he thought—on camera, on mic, in writing. There’s no shortage of receipts. If you want to know what he believed, it’s pretty straightforward: 1. His wife 2. His inner circle 3. His own words—podcasts, journals, speeches. Funny how Charlie’s “true feelings” are just now being revealed … claiming he felt things that completely contradict what he publicly said. Stop. It’s disrespectful and exploitative. — Video Credit: x.com/glennbeck/stat…

@Cmill_95 2022 winter had its moments, but even the good ones felt underwhelming. 2022 was the winter where we had multiple chances for accumulating snow, but if we had a shot at 6”, we’d often get only 2 or 3. It just felt very mid.
