@SawyerMerritt Is that a charge port right rear? Any auto manufacturer who fails to do all they can to keep their cars from taking up two charge spots, should be allowed only on Tesla chargers with long cables.

Did you Japanese elementary schools have no janitors? The students clean the classrooms, hallways, and even the bathrooms themselves. In Japanese elementary schools, the early years focus as much on character and social responsibility as academics. Students absolutely learn math, reading, and science. They also take quizzes and small tests (this part of the video is only directionally accurate). But in the first couple grades, schools put a big emphasis on things like respect, cooperation, and self-discipline. For example: • Students clean their own classrooms, hallways, and bathrooms every day. The idea is that if children care for the space themselves, they learn responsibility and respect for shared environments. (They have janitors for maintenance and for deep cleaning, but not day to day). • Lunch is served by the students. Kids rotate jobs delivering food carts, serving meals to classmates, and cleaning up afterward. • Teachers spend a lot of time reinforcing group harmony and good behavior, which are considered foundational before academic pressure ramps up. The academic pressure definitely comes later. By middle school and high school, Japan has very competitive entrance exams that determine which schools students can attend, and many students attend after-school cram schools called juku to prepare. But in the early years, the philosophy is that a well-functioning community matters just as much as test scores. It’s a cultural difference that a lot of visitors notice right away, because the classroom is treated less like a place kids simply pass through, and more like a shared environment they are responsible for.

NEWS: US House transport committee head wants to collect EV fees for highway repairs. Representative Sam Graves, said he plans to take up a multi-year bill in early April. Last year, House Republicans proposed a new $250 annual fee on EVs and $100 for hybrid EVs but it was not included in a massive tax and spending bill. The current five-year surface transportation law expires on September 30. "We would like to get money from EVs," Graves said at a U.S. Chamber of Commerce infrastructure event, saying he expects the five-year bill to include $500 billion to $550 billion in funding for highways and bridges. usnews.com/news/us/articl…

STFU Rascal. It was neocon imperialism that orchestrated a coup in Ukraine in the first place, sparking a civil war , a separatist movement by inputting a regime hostile to Russia right on their border, predictably provoking a clash with Russia, which they waited 8 years before committing hoping for diplomacy to prevail. Andriy is just another pawn/victim served up as cannon fodder in a war assholes like you in our government provoked, fund and perpetuate. 🖕

Ukrainian soldier Andriy Smolenskyi put everything on the line to defend his homeland, his family, and his wife, Alina. When he lost his arms and sight in combat, Alina immediately rushed to his side and has not left it since. I was honored to meet him with the Smolenskyis, who are doing all they can to end Putin’s filthy, imperialist war.

I was watching a video about China EV manufacturers. There are approximately 140 of them; pretty much all of them have autonomy. L2+ ADAS "take rates" are around 90%. 15+ brands are L3 (better than Tesla FSD) permitted, with about 250,000 being produced this year. L4 is in testing by many, especially taxi and fleet. Many are $10k-$25k below Tesla's prices.

@yashar You can't tip government workers for doing their job. ESPECIALLY one working in a security position. That's called a bribe. They need to be paid for the work they are doing NOW!

Summary Over the past few days @JoNationLive and i filmed the Tesla charging location being partially blocked by non-electric vehicles. Quite a few people liked and shared the post — clearly this bothers a lot of us. Today we returned, and this time the drivers definitely noticed us filming. (Important: we only recorded — no police, no tow truck calls.) Within moments they started moving their cars to regular parking spaces… which, surprise, were actually available. Yes, we got the middle finger — but far more importantly, it looks like the main culprits are the nearby shop/store owners themselves. Maybe now they’ll finally get the message and stop parking there.
