Low body count has become the new purity scorecard in Catholic dating circles. It's not irrelevant, but a person with zero sexual partners can also be emotionally unavailable, dishonest, unhealed, and a terrible spouse. Ignore the tradchads. The person > the count.

Men are called to submit to their wives through sacrifice. Ephesians 5:21 "Submit yourselves to one another because of your reverence for Christ." Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it". 1 Peter 3:7 "In the same way, you husbands must live with your wives with the proper understanding that they are more delicate than you. Treat them with respect, because they also will receive, together with you, God's gift of life. Do this so that nothing will interfere with your prayers."

@annhybri Equal does mean same. Husbands authority comes from God. To not submit to your husband is to not submit to the one who gave the authority. In the family husband submits ro God. You to your husband. If you refuse its because you dont trust him or love him and now family is divided

The St. Catharine Catholic church in Columbus, Ohio attempted to host a family friendly community event this weekend called "FunFest" and we all know how that went. This has been an annual summer event for many years but this isn't the America we grew up in. Large parts of 2026 America are a third world hellscape and 500-800 local "teens" showed up to this Catholic family oriented event. As you can imagine, crime and chaos ensued. Local vendor booths were robbed and trashed, fights broke out, a child was trampled, and after local police dispersed the crowd several "teens" then went to the nearby CVS and Giant Eagle stores and looted those as well.
